Abstract:
Methods of creating and displaying video advertisements and systems implementing the methods are disclosed. The method includes creating a user interface wherein an advertiser chooses multi-media assets and their programmatically described rendering behavior, creating a user interface wherein the advertiser chooses a time, program, and audience to display the video advertisement to, transmitting multi-media assets and their programmatically described rendering behavior as a program to be stored on each member of the target audience's viewer devices, and transmitting a signal to each member of the target audience's viewer device to render multi-media assets and corresponding program for advertisement message.
Abstract:
A dynamic television audience measurement system (AMS) and method are disclosed. The system comprises a central level AMS sub-system, a local node level AMS sub-system communicating with the central level AMS sub-system, a plurality of client level AMS sub-systems communicating with the local node level AMS sub-system, and a plurality of display devices, each is monitored by a client level AMS sub-system. The central level AMS sub-system receives panel definitions from panel requestors, transmits them to the local node level AMS sub-system, and receives a merged viewership report from the local node level AMS sub-system. The local node level AMS sub-system receives panel definitions from the central level AMS sub-system, transmits the panel definitions to the plurality of client level AMS sub-systems, receives viewership reports from each client level AMS sub-systems, merges the viewership reports into the merged viewership report, and transmits it to the central level AMS sub-system.
Abstract:
Methods of reporting Audience Measurement System (AMS) viewership events on a client device and systems implementing the method are disclosed. The method comprises the steps of receiving at least one event message on a client device, wherein each event message is a data signal indicating an occurrence of an event, processing the at least one event message on the client device to create an AMS viewership report, and transmitting the AMS viewership report.
Abstract:
A method of indicating to a viewer the time remaining in a video advertisement, a system implementing the method, and a TV commercial are disclosed. The method comprises, on a processor, displaying a video advertisement, superimposing an indicator on the video advertisement, wherein the indicator bar has a first portion indicating the time remaining in the video advertisement and a second portion indicating the time that has elapsed in the video advertisement, and decreasing the size of the first portion and increasing the size of the second portion until the video advertisement is completed.
Abstract:
A method of generating television Audience Measurement System (AMS) reports and a system executing the method are disclosed. The method comprises the steps of receiving a plurality of encoded report payloads from a plurality of client devices, storing the encoded report payloads in a database, transferring at least one encoded report payload from the database into randomly addressable memory (RAM), decoding the at least one encoded report payload in RAM, parsing the decoded data in RAM with at least one matching algorithm to determine the occurrence of events, compiling a database of parsed data, and generating an AMS report from the database of parsed data.
Abstract:
Video advertisement with targeted and/or interactive and/or transaction enabled capabilities systems and methods are disclosed. The invention separates in time the transactional component of the video ad from the product or service message (e.g. commercial). By separating the transaction component of the video ad from the commercial, the viewer's experience as intended by the video ad creator is preserved. Additionally, the user experience is optimized for the transactional component by allowing the transactional component to take up extra real-estate on the video screen, allowing the viewer to focus on the transactional components without interfering with the commercial, and allowing the owner of the transactional component to add additional aspects, for example an audio track or moving elements, to improve the effectiveness of the transactional component.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for identifying a viewer and determining at least one of a plurality of media to display to the viewer on a display device are disclosed. The system comprises an input device, at least one sensor embedded in the input device, a first processor in electronic communication with the input device, and a second processor in electronic communication with the first processor. Software executing on the first processor obtains behaviometrics measurement data from the input device, determines the identity of the viewer, obtains viewer behavior data for the identified viewer, and exports the identity and viewer behavior data to the second processor. Software executing on the second processor receives the identity and viewer behavior data from the first processor, determines at least one of a plurality of media to display to the viewer, and renders the at least one media on the display device.
Abstract:
A computing device is disclosed. The computing device includes a housing having electrical plug blades for insertion into an electrical outlet, an AC/DC electrical converter contained within the housing, a system on a chip (SoC) powered by the converter and contained within the housing, at least one data storage device in data communication with the SoC and contained within the housing, a networking device in data communication with the SoC and contained within the housing, an input receiving device in data communication with the SoC and contained within the housing, and at least one output port in data communication with the SoC and contained within the housing.
