Abstract:
Active ingredient capsules are proposed which are obtainable by, with the input of mechanical and thermal energy, (a) dissolving and/or dispersing proteins, polysaccharides and cellulose derivatives in water, (b) adding the active ingredients to be encapsulated, (c) hardening the resulting coacervates with the addition of tannins and optionally (d) then subjecting them to a spray drying.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to food for the dietary management of burnout comprising a water containing from 0.0002 to 0.0278 mol.% of isotopologue HOD, preferably, from 0.0178 to 0.0278 mol.% of isotopologue HOD. Preferably, the food is selected from a group consisting of solid food, liquid food, beverage, and drinking water. Further, the present invention relates to method of the dietary management of burnout comprising a step of administering to a subject in need thereof the food of the invention.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a novel process for the preparation of novel raw material for functional foods containing bioactive materials, comprising activating the enzymes of edible plant seeds at a temperature of 10-35 °C for a period of 5-72 hours with oxygen and water until reaching the maximum nutritional value of the seeds, then the seeds together with their sprouts are treated in the aqueous solution or suspension or emulsion of physiologically or dietetically advantageous materials between 60-100 °C for a period of 10-180 minutes, and then the raw material containing the physiologically important biological materials in this enhanced concentration is separated, dried, optionally chopped and packed. The invention also relates to the products of the novel preparation process and their use.
Abstract:

Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to the field of flavan-3-ols. In particular, the present invention provides a way to increase the bioavailability of flavan-3-ols. Embodiments of the present invention relate to theuse of at least one carbohydrate with a glycemic index of less than 50in a composition comprising at least one flavan– 3-ol for increasing the bioavailability of said flavan–3-ol.
Abstract:
An edible sticker including an edible paper, an edible ink, and an edible compound on at least a portion of the edible paper. The edible compound includes one selected from a nutrient, a supplement, a medicine, a mineral, a flavoring, a vitamin, and combinations thereof. A method of providing nutrients to a child using the edible sticker, a method of manufacturing the edible sticker, and a system for manufacturing the edible sticker have also been disclosed.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a composition comprising HMB and Vitamin D. Methods of administering HMB and Vitamin D to an animal are also described. Vitamin D and HMB are administered to increase muscle mass, strength, and functionality. The combination of Vitamin D and HMB together has a synergistic effect, which results in a surprising and unexpected level of improvement in muscle mass, strength and functionality.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition which comprises: an oligosaccharide which is free of sialyloligosaccharide, and free sialic acid.
