Abstract:
An improved takraw ball (1) is woven from strips (20) of composite material of which one part (24) is of soft material and the other part (22) of springy material, generally component parts are arranged and the strips are so woven that the outer surface of the ball is soft; the soft material and the springy material are each selected to produce a bounce characteristic equivalent to conventional rattan takraw balls and known plastic takraw balls.
Abstract:
A golf ball-forming composition, golf balls prepared from the composition and the process for preparing thereof. The golf ball-forming composition is composed of the following ingredients: polyvinyl alcohol resin 5-80 wt%, filler 0-90 wt%, natural polymer material 0-60wt%, and plasticizer 5-50 wt%. The filler is the common filler known by the skilled person in the art; the natural polymer material is celluloses or amyloses; the plasticizer is the common substances used by the skilled person in the art. The golf ball-forming composition is water soluble biodegradable. The water soluble biodegradable ball's interior is a cavity, and the ball'ssurface is set at least one through drilling connected with the cavity. When the golf ball is hit into water, water will inject into the cavity by the through drilling, which increases the connected area between water and the sphere, accelerates the dissolution of the sphere, and finally makes the sphere biodegrade completely in the environment.
Abstract:
A ball (100) for use in bat and ball games wherein the ball is struck with a bat having an untensioned, rigid ball-striking surface, includes a hollow spherical impact body (112) having a mass of between 10g and 50g which enables the use of lightweight bats. The wall of the impact body is of a resiliently compressible material and defines a convexly curved impact zone IB. The ball further includes a flight control assembly (114) including a tail (50) comprising flexible streamers (52), a spacer stem (54) and an anchor fitting (126) for anchoring the spacer stem to the impact body. The configuration of the impact body is such that the impact zone compresses to a minimum compression depth of 12mm and the impact body bounces to a height of at least 100cm when the impact body is subjected to a drop test wherein the impact body is dropped onto a test impact surface.
Abstract:
A bouncing toy (100) comprising: a housing (110) having a window (111) for accessing an internal chamber of the bouncing toy (100); a display device (120) mounted adjacent to the window (111) to display information detected by one or more sensors arranged to detect a motion, status or manipulation of the bouncing toy (100); and a processing device (130) for processing information received from the one or more sensors and transmitting the information to the display device (120).
Abstract:
In some aspects, the invention relates to a inflation independent sports ball comprising a foam core 15 and an outer covering 10, wherein the sports ball is selected from the group consisting of a football, a basketball a volleyball and a soccer ball, wherein the sports ball 5 is devoid of an inflatable air bladder. In other aspects, the invention relates to a sports ball, having a diameter and comprising a synthetic leather outer covering 10 at least partially covering a polyurethane foam core 15, wherein the foam core further comprises at least one Internal compartment and a cylindrical body spanning at least part of the length of the diameter of the sports ball. In other aspects, the invention relates to a sports ball having an outer covering and a foam core, wherein the foam core 15 is not filled with foam entirely throughout its Internal volume, but rather includes space for air.
Abstract:
A puck includes a main body having a first portion and a second portion securely attached to form a generally cylindrical shape with an internal cavity. One or more energy absorbing components are positioned within the internal cavity. A weight component is positioned adjacent to the one or more energy absorbing components within the internal cavity. The weight component is sized to move in a vertical direction and deform the one or more energy absorbing components within the internal cavity in response to movement of the puck.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
A takraw is woven form takraw ball strips (10) of springy material having soft material pads (42) preferably mounted into recesses (30) in a strip face (28), the pads are, at least in part, bounded by strip face parts (32, 34, 36) which function to lend stifness to the strip, and/or protect pad edges and/or assist in mounting pads onto the strips.
