The method comprises providing the solids recovered from the wellbore and measuring the thermal conductivity of the solids recovered from the wellbore using a thermal conductivity probe. The method further comprises using the thermal conductivity measurement to determine the oil content in the solids recovered from the wellbore.

A pre- treatment stage may be configured to process the incoming the feedstock and provide to a primary treatment stage a water/glycol solution that is substantially identical and allows for a primary treatment process that is not dependent upon the originating source of the glycol feedstock. A post-treatment stage may further process and purify the water/glycol solution.

Gemäß der Erfindung wird durch den Separator der Stofffluss in ein Konzentrat einerseits und ein sog. Tailing (Gangart) andererseits getrennt, und erfolgt die Beeinflussung der Trennrate von Konzentrat/Tailing allein durch Beeinflussung der Durchflussrate. Dazu ist im Separator (10, 20) wenigstens eine Trennblende (11, 21) verschiebbar, so dass ein variabler Spalt (15, 25) gebildet wird.

The inner housing (31) is suspended inside an outer housing (11). An apparatus separates liquid, gas and solid components of a mixture in a fluid system. An inlet for receiving the mixture opens into a separation chamber tangentially with a cylindrical side wall and a gas outlet has an opening in a first end wall adjacent the inlet to allow gas to exit the separator. A fluid outlet is located in an opposing second end wall. A debris passage extends through the cylindrical side wall and oriented so that the radial velocity of the particles within the separation chamber directs the particles through the debris passage. The debris passage leads to a particle collection chamber in which the particles accumulate. Unlike prior separators that relied on the tangential velocity of the particles, the present apparatus utilizes the greater radial velocity to drive the particles from the separation chamber into the particle collection chamber.
