An apparatus, system, and method that relate to a self-locking tie with one or more elastomeric features are disclosed. A strap of the self-locking tie includes one or more features that physically anchor the strap to a base of a mold during a multi-stage molding process. These features may include one or more recesses. Side walls of the one or more recesses may be sloped, as defined by anchors with undercut regions that physically engage material of the strap to prevent movement of the strap within a mold cavity of the base as the strap cools and as the strap is exposed between its formation and formation of one or more elastomeric features thereon.

An ice mold (10) includes a first mold assembly (12) and a second mold assembly (14), each including a base (16, 58) with an aperture (24, 66) and a mold (32, 74) attached to the base (16, 58). Each of the molds (32, 74) includes a receptacle (34, 76) that forms a cavity (40, 82). The first mold assembly (12) is attached removably to the second mold assembly (14) such that a liquid-tight seal is formed between the molds (32, 74). When the first mold assembly (12) and the second mold assembly (14) are attached to one another, the cavities (40, 82) of the molds form a molding cavity (98). When the first mold assembly (12) and the second mold assembly (14) are detached from one another, each of the receptacles (34, 76) is moveable from a first molding position, in which the receptacle (34, 76) is positioned within the respective aperture (24, 66) of the base (16, 58), and a second inverted position, in which at least a portion of the receptacle (34, 76) of extends outwardly from the aperture (24, 66).

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verbundbauteil (10) aus wenigstens zwei verschiedenen Materialien, von denen wenigstens eines von einem Silikon-Bereich (12, 14, 16, 18) gebildet wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Verbundbauteil (10) von wenigstens zwei an wenigstens einer seitlichen Kante aneinander stoßenden, nebeneinander angeordneten flächigen Silikon-Bereichen (12, 14, 16, 18) mit unterschiedlichen Materialeigenschaften gebildet wird. Die Erfindung betrifft auch ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines derartigen Verbundbauteils.

Disclosed is a method for making a membrane for use as a vacuum bag, a natural rubber vacuum bag made using such methods, and methods for using such a natural rubber bag to form a composite article. One method can include providing a substantially non-porous working surface having a desired shape for forming a vacuum bag, spraying at least one layer of a natural rubber liquid over at least a portion of working surface, and solidifying the natural rubber liquid to form a membrane having a shape substantially corresponding to that of the working surface. The membrane formed being elastically deformable and substantially impermeable for functioning as a vacuum bag in Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding, debulking, compaction, or similar processes.

A hollow structure (20) may be produced by such method, and a tool may be structured to perform such method.
