Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Vorrichtung zum Verbinden eines Bauteils (4) mit einem Körper (2), wobei das Bauteil (4) insbesondere ein Heizelement (42) enthält und bezüglich des Körpers (2) fixierbar ist. Die Vorrichtung soll dahingehend weitergebildet werden, dass bei kompakter und enifacher Bauweise eine funktionssichere Platzierung und/oder Verbindung des Bauteils (4) auf bzw. mit dem Körper (2) problemlos herstellbar ist. Hieruzu wird vorgeschlagen, dass ein Bauelement (12) vorgesehen ist, welches auf dem Bauteil (4) anzuordnen ist und/oder auf dem Körper (2) derart dichtend zur Anlage bringbar ist, dass ein nach aussen abgedichteter Innenraum zwischen dem Bauelement (12) und dem Bauteil (4) sowie dem Körper (2) vorhanden ist, und dass das Bauteil (4) oder das Bauelement (12) einen Anschluss (14) an eine Unterdruckquelle (16) aufweist, mittels welcher in dem genannten Inneraum ein Unterdruck herstellbar ist.

A method of forming a structural tube may include urging a substantially flat thermoplastic sandwich sheet against a mandrel and heating the thermoplastic sandwich sheet to a temperature below a glass transition temperature. The method may further include allowing the thermoplastic sandwich sheet to cool and removing the mandrel, thereby forming a tube portion.

An irrigation pipe (12) with holes is provided. The pipe is, at least in the area of each hole, multilayered. At least top (152a) and bottom (152b) layers of the pipe (12) are made of a water-repellant material, and an inner layer (154) of the pipe (12) is made of a porous material. The hole is defined by a cut surface of the pipe wall. The cut surface comprises a seal, which covers at least the inner layer (154). Each layer (152a, 152b, 154) may be bonded to adjacent layers.
Abstract:
The invention provides a tool 10 of the invention for welding a PET gland 12 onto a PET bottle 14 for the fitment of a dispensing tap. The tool 10 is generically indicated as ultrasonic horn or sonotrode in the figure. The ultrasonic horn has a tapered serrated portion 16 which has a lead-in taper section 18 to initiate the melt of the plastics to be welded, and a knife section 20 (when required), being the cutting zone thereof, which in use cuts open a sealed spigot 22 so that the horn can enter into the spigot 24 for the welding operation.

A fuel fill system includes an outer funnel (14) and one or more components (18), each formed from a thermoplastic material. The components, which may include a flange (20), a tube (22), and a vapor recirculation fitting (24), are in fluid communication with the outer funnel (14) via welded joints (16). The welded joints (16) may be formed by at least one of: spin welding, hot plate welding, laser welding, vibration welding, and ultrasonic welding. The plastic to plastic weld provides an electrically conductive, substantially seamless, vapor permeation resistant joint between each of the components (18) and the outer funnel (14).
