A method of forming a vacuum insulated structure includes providing a multi-layer sheet of material comprising at least one layer of barrier material that is disposed between first and second outer layers. The barrier material and the first and second outer layers comprise thermoplastic polymers. The multi-layer sheet of material is thermoformed to form a non-planar first component. The first component is at least partially coated utilizing a plasma polymerization process or a physical vapor deposition process to improve the barrier properties of the first component. The method further includes securing a second component to the first component to form an interior space therebetween. Porous filler material is positioned in the interior space, and a vacuum is formed in the interior space.

In one embodiment, the method includes heating a portion (16) of a first fiber reinforced polymer rod (12)and heating a portion (18) of a second fiber reinforced polymer rod (14). The method further includes intertwining the portions (16, 18) of the first fiber reinforced polymer rod (12) and the second fiber reinforced polymer rod (14) to form a rod connecting section. The method further includes aligning the first fiber reinforced polymer rod and the second fiber reinforced polymer rod along a linear axis. The method further includes cooling the portions of the first fiber reinforced polymer rod and the second fiber reinforced polymer rod.

The present invention provides a method and apparatus for separating rubber components and metal components of tread portions (110) of road vehicle tyres (10). Each tread portion comprises a tread side (200) and a back side (220), and the method comprising the steps: forming a chain of tread portions by connecting a plurality of tread portions in a longitudinal direction, said tread portions being connected such that the tread side of each tread portion faces in the same direction, such that the chain of tread portions comprises a tread side and a back side; causing the tread side of at least a part of the chain of tread portions to contact a curved surface (125); and directing at least one high-pressure jet (140) against the back side (220) of the part of the chain of tread portions contacting the curved surface, to cause separation of the rubber components from the metal components. In a preferred arrangement the at least one high-pressure jet is at least one ultra high-pressure water jet. An apparatus is provided to perform the method.

Металлополимерная армированная труба получена путем экструзионного формования при одновременной подаче в формующую полость расплава полимера и армирующего металлического каркаса с последующим интенсивным охлаждением внутренней и внешней поверхности формуемой трубы. Техническим результатом изобретения является повышение качества и длительной прочности в радиальном направлении металлополимерной армированной трубы, при повышении производительности процесса ее изготовления, а также повышение прочности и технологичности трубопровода, построенного из полученных труб.

The invention relates to a method for producing a thermosetting strip (2e) having a honeycomb half-cell shape from a strip material (2), wherein the strip material (2) consists essentially of a fibre material, in particular a paper web, said fibre material being pre-impregnated with a binder that is to be cross-linked to a thermosetting material. According to the invention, the strip material (2) is continuously conveyed, thereby heated and subjected to a pressure in order to cause a condensation reaction. A pressure is exerted on the continuously conveyed strip material (2) under the effect of a rolling movement, the binder is pressed into the strip material (2) and the condensation products which were released during the polycondensation process are pressed out of the strip material (2) by guiding the strip material (2) between two stamping wheels which are mutually engaging, heated and mutually roll off so that the strip material (2) is heated by the stamping wheels (4a, 4b), is subjected to the pressure and is at the same time shaped to form a strip having a honeycomb half-cell shape (2e).
