Abstract:
Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ein Rad, dass eine Felge mit Felgenbett und Felgenhörnern, eine Nabe sowie mindestens drei Speichenelemente aufweist. Jedes Speichenelement bildet mindestens eine Speiche zwischen der Nabe und der Felge aus. Die Speichenelemente sind formschlüssig oder formschlüssig und stoffschlüssig an der Innenseite der Felge befestigt. Kennzeichnend ist, dass sich die Speichenelemente im Nabenbereich in Umfangsrichtung aneinander an dazu ausgebildeten Stoßflächen abstützen. Des Weiteren wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung des erfindungsgemäßen Rades offenbart.

Es wird ein Herstellungsverfahren für eine Pendelanordnung einer Pendellaservorrichtung (10) vorgeschlagen, dass zumindest ein Verfahrensschritt, bei dem ein Kreuzgelenk (32) eines Pendels (28) der Pendelanordnung mittels Kunststoff-Spritzgießtechnik unter Formung zweier orthogonaler, mit Wälzlagern (36a,36b) bestückten Wellen (50a, 50b), gefertigt wird, und einen zweiten Verfahrensschritt, bei dem ein Optikträger (30) des Pendels (28) der Pendelanordnung mittels Kunststoff-Spritzgießtechnik einstückig, insbesondere form- und kraftschlüssig, mit dem Kreuzgelenk (32) gefertigt wird, aufweist.

A method of fabricating a vehicle wheel particularly, though not exclusively, for racing cars, comprising the steps of forming from a profiled pattern at least two mould parts of a carbon fibre material, representing inner and outer profiles of the wheel to be produced; moulding onto said mould parts the inner and outer wheel profiles (31, 32) and combining same in a jigging mould with a structural central core (38), the completed wheel being surrounded by a rim wrap (36) of carbon fibre material having tyre bead seats adjacent the inner and outer extremities of the wheel. The completed wheel has considerable structural stability but its weight is minimised to enhance performance.

In einem Verfahren zum Herstellen einer Fahrzeugfelge aus faserverstärktem Polymermaterial werden beim Herstellen des Preforms (1) der Felge inner- oder ausserhalb zumindest ein sich über die ganze Felgenlauffläche erstreckenden Grundlaminatlage (9) aus faserverstärktem Polymerhalbzeug oder zwischen sich über die ganze Felgenlauffläche erstreckenden Grundlaminatlagen aus faserverstärktem Polymerhalbzeug mindestens im Bereich von Abstufungen in der Felgenkontur wie zwischen Felgenbett (15) und Felgenschulter (18) und/oder Schulter (18) zu Felgenhorn (19) mehrere sich in Umfangrichtung der Felge erstreckende gestapelte Bandlagen (16,17) aus faserverstärktem Polymermaterial abgelegt oder eingelegt.

An insert moldable cap retainer for securing a bearing cap to a pulley assembly is disclosed. The cap retainer includes a hollow neck configured to receive a bearing cap, a plate that extends outward from the neck with the neck protruding upward from the plate, and a continuous or discontinuous flange extending downward from the outer periphery of the plate. The plate is configured to be juxtaposed with an upper surface of an outer race of a bearing and the flange is configured to be juxtaposed with an outer surface of the outer race of the bearing when the cap retainer is positioned on the bearing. The cap retainer and bearing are insert moldable together to have an integral pulley body connected thereto. A pulley assembly is also disclosed that includes the insert moldable cap retainer.

Described are methods of making a paint roller using an adhesive made from a compound of polypropylene and calcium carbonate having between 5% and 66% calcium carbonate by weight. Described are methods of making a paint roller using preformed strips or core material made from a compound of polypropylene and calcium carbonate having between 5% and 66% calcium carbonate by weight. Described are methods of making a paint roller using a composite cover material made from a compound of polypropylene and calcium carbonate having between 5% and 50% calcium carbonate by weight. One or various compounds may be used to form portions of one or multiple components that make up the paint roller, including, for example, the thermoplastic strips, adhesives and/or the backing of a composite cover material. The materials can be assembled in a continuous manufacturing process.

This invention concerns a process for producing a tread roller, particularly a tread roller for inline skates or roller blades, in which a hub of the tread roller is surrounded in a mould by a casing with a tread. The provision is also made for the material forming the casing to be inserted into the mould through at least one through-passage way (24) on the inner circumferential surface of the hub (10).

A composite article comprises an elastomeric matrix incorporating reinforcing fibres, and at least one distinct zone of a polymeric stiffening material. The elastomeric matrix and the polymeric material are co-polymerised within a transition region to provide an exceptionally strong chemical bond, and a graded transition from one material to the other. The stiffening material may also contain reinforcing fibres. A number of possible materials are disclosed, as well as several articles of specific form in accordance with the invention. The articles expressly disclosed are an automobile bumper (Figs. 1-3), drive couplings (Figs. 4-8), an automotive constant velocity joint (Fig. 9), helicopter rotor couplings (Figs. 10-15), an integral tyre and wheel (Fig. 16), and a spring of zig-zag form (Figs. 18-20).
