Abstract:
The invention is a new process for producing monolithic hollow wheels in resin reinforced with fibres and polymerised at high pressure, comprising two half-moulds (Sa, Sb) each shaped according to one part of the negative outline of the wheel to be produced, with the respective spokes and hub, one or more tubular plastic bags (G1), an external plastic bag (G2). The layers of fibre and resin (M) are laid in the grooves (S1) of the two half-moulds (Sa, Sb) so as to protrude or project beyond the coupling surface. One or more tubular bags (G1) are inserted in a half-mould (Sb), so as to occupy all the areas that must be hollow, and with at least one open end protruding from the half-mould (Sb). The two half-moulds (Sa, Sb) are closed and put into the external bag (G2). The assembly of the bags (G1, G2) and of the half-moulds (Sa, Sb) is treated in an autoclave, connecting the environment between the external bag (G2) and the internal bags (G1) to a suction pump.
Abstract:
A procedure for the manufacture of a steering wheel for motor vehicles consisting of an outer covering in composite material, comprising the preparation of the covering by means of composite elements with a laminar structure, the hot forming of these elements in order to obtain a pair of complementary shells (13a, 13b), the assembly of the shells on the opposite sides of the steering wheel, in which the body of the steering wheel consists of a metal core (11) buried inside synthetic resin, and in that at least one of the shells forming the opposite sides of the covering is equipped with a support element (14a, 14b) which allows it to be coupled to the other shell complementary to it.

Abstract:
An oral protector (10), especially for use by patients during electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) consists of a flat unitary member which is preferably stamped from a flat sheet of material. The protector (10) is elastic, and formed of a closed cell material such as polyurethane plastic resin or artificial rubber. It has an elongated, generally elliptical shaped central opening (13) which acts as an air passage.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the process of fabrication of a steering wheel for motor vehicles having the following characteristics: low fabrication cost, easy fabrication of complex shapes without requiring sophisticated machinery, fabrication using 100 % of synthetic material, superficial wooden aspect, and a higher wear-resistance and environment-resistance than a wooden steering wheel. The object of the present invention is to offer a steering wheel for a motor vehicle which is totally different from existing steering wheels due to the use of a new assembly of materials and fabrication processes, the material being characterized in that 100 % is synthetic and has an aspect which is similar to wood.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing a steering-wheel with a seamless cover encompassing the steering-wheel rim, steering-wheel spokes and the central area with tear lines for an airbag-covering. Said cover comprises a plastic shaped part produced as a single piece by a casting or injection process, with a closed surface and optionally a foamed base element. The inventive method is characterised in that a core consisting of a material with a low melting point is attached to the central base part of the steering-wheel skeleton. The steering-wheel skeleton and the core are then placed in a mould to produce the plastic shaped part. The plastic shaped part is formed. After said plastic shaped part has hardened, the core is melted by increasing the temperature and the material is removed from the plastic shaped part in liquid form.
Abstract:
Steering wheel comprising a central body (7) joined at its periphery to the padding (6) of the rim (1) and arms (2), and an outer covering (8) forming a continuous covering over the packing (6) and the front face of the central body (7). The mounting component (23) is a ring having an inner contour in the form of two portions of a circle of different diameters, and a mounting screw. The steering column has an endpiece having a smaller diameter at its extremity (25) than over the length surrounded by the hub (3), and a groove at the base of the end section (25) to receive the mounting component (23).
Abstract:
