Printing module of the flexo printing type, provided with an anilox roller (16) and an impression roller (18) which are set up between two frame parts (12, 14). Further, the printing module comprises a plate cylinder assembly (20) which is receivable in a plate cylinder holder assembly (30, 32). The plate cylinder holder assembly is provided with a plate-shaped body part (34) with a supporting ring support surface (36) with a special curve (C) which is symmetrical with respect to a curve plane. Further, each plate cylinder holder assembly comprises a body part assist assembly via which the body part is connected with the associated frame part, wherein the body part assist assembly is configured for pivoting the body part about a first imaginary pivoting axis and for pivoting the body part about a second imaginary pivoting axis, such as to allow a substantially independent distance setting between the plate cylinder and the anilox roller on one side and between the plate cylinder and the impression roller on the other side.

A system and method for the overprint on flexible supports are described. In particular, the overprint system 1 comprises a printing unit 2 comprising a rotatable printing cylinder 3, having printing zones at the surface thereof, and first actuating means 14, configured to drive in a controllable manner the printing cylinder 3 rotation. The system further comprises a first reel 5 for unwinding a flexible support 4 to be printed, which has preset zones to be overprinted, and a second reel 8 for rewinding the flexible support 4, once it has been printed. A plurality of winding rolls 7 arranges an unwinding path, for the flexible support 4, comprised between the first 5 and the second 8 reels, and passing through the printing unit 2. The system then comprises second actuation means 20, configured to drive in a controllable manner the flexible support 4 advancement along the unwinding path (upstream of the printing unit 2 in the unwinding direction), and control means 10, configured to control in a coordinated manner both the first actuating means 14 and the second actuation means 20, so as to determine at every moment a correspondence of the preset zones to be overprinted of the flexible support 4 with respective printing zones of the printing cylinder 3.

Die Folienzuführung in einem Beschichtungswerk zum Transfer von bildgebenden Schichten von einer Transferfolie auf einen Bedruckstoff soll vereinfacht werden. Hierzu ist die Folienführung durch Schutze und einen Druckspalt zu ermöglichen. Dazu werden Folienleiteinrichtungen in das Beschichtungswerk eingesetzt. Die Folie wird hierbei vorzugsweise in etwa tangential an einer Presswalze vorbeigeführt. Die Folienleiteinrichtungen sind in vorhandene Halterungen einsetzbar.

Die Folienzuführung in einem Beschichtungsmodul zum Transfer von bildgebenden Schichten von einer Transferfolie auf einen Bedruckstoff soll in ihrer Anwendbarkeit erweitert werden. Hierzu ist der Folienführung eine Beschichtungseinrichtung zum Auftrag von Schichten oder Informationen oder Nutzelementen auf der Transferfolie zugeordnet. Die zusätzlichen Schichten werden gemeinsam mit der Nutzschicht der Transferfolie in dem Beschichtungsmodul auf den Bedruckstoff übertragen. Die Transferfolie wird hierbei vorzugsweise in etwas tangential an einer Presswalze vorbeigeführt.

There is described a web-fed or sheet-fed printing machine for security papers, in particular banknotes, comprising a machine frame (100) in which is located a main printing group (10, 13, 15, 20, 23, 25), the printing machine further comprising an additional printing group (1, 2, 8; 1, 2', 8; 1 ,2'', 8), independent of the main printing group, placed upstream of the main printing group with respect to a direction of displacement of the web or sheets for performing additional printing of the security papers prior to printing by said main printing group. The additional printing group comprises an inking module (1) containing at least one inking device (3), and a printing module (2; 2'; 2'') comprising a cylinder arrangement including a plurality of cylinders (4, 5; 4', 5', 6', 7'; 4'', 5'', 6'', 7''), the printing module being interposed between the inking module and the machine frame of the printing machine. The additional printing group is constructed in such a manner that the printing module can be decoupled from the inking module and the machine frame for replacement by another printing module without this requiring removal of said inking module (1) from the printing machine.

The aim of the invention is to improve the film supply in a coating module for transferring the image-forming layers of a transfer film to a printing material. To achieve this, a delimited pressing surface is located in the coating module for transferring the layers of the transfer film. This permits the targeted control of the film feed. The transfer film is thus preferably fed past a pressure roll in an approximately tangential manner and with a delimited width.

The invention relates to a printing unit (23) for applying print marks on a wrapping strip of the tobacco industry, especially on a cigarette paper strip (21) in a continuous cigarette machine. The aim of the invention is to provide a printing unit (23) that can be rapidly exchanged when the print format or the typography is changed. To this end, the printing unit is provided with a fastening device (86) with which the premounted cylinders (45, 46, 47) can be jointly fastened on and detached from the printing unit. The printing unit (23) according to the invention allows rapid detachment of new printing (45, 46) and/or counter-pressure cylinders (47) and replacement with a new printing unit with premounted cylinders.
