Abstract:
The present invention discloses a filling device (1) for a motor vehicle operating fluid container (3). The filling device (1) comprises a mouth hole connection piece (11), into which a dispensing valve (40) can be introduced in order to fill the operating fluid container (3). The filling device (1) further comprises a compensation chamber (24) to which the mouth hole connection piece (11) is connected in fluid terms. A connection piece (21) of the filling device (1) is arranged between the operating fluid container (3) and the compensation chamber (24) and is connected in fluid terms to the operating fluid container (3) and the compensation chamber (24). The filling device (1) is distinguished in that the connection piece (21) protrudes into the compensation chamber (24), the connection piece (21) is arranged so as to face the mouth hole connection piece (11) and to be spaced apart therefrom, the connection piece (21) is surrounded by the compensation chamber (24), and a dispensing valve (40) can be introduced through the mouth hole connection piece (11) into the connection piece (21).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a filler head (23) for a storage system comprising a body with a main part (31) closed by a cover part, and being configured to receive a distribution nozzle of a fluid and configured to be connected, in a tighten manner, to a filling line and a venting line of a fluid tank, the filler head (23) further comprising a buffer volume (33) 5 so as to reduce the speed of flow (V) coming from the venting line (21), the buffer volume (33) being in one-piece with the main part (31) and is closed by the cover part so as to limit fluid projection from the filler head (23) during refilling.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method (1) of producing a deflector devices for fuel tank systems comprising the following steps: production (2) of a deflector device prototype (14) from prefabricated components (10, 11, 12) of a construction kit (9), performance (3) of fuel-refilling tests using the deflector device prototype (14), possible modification (4) of the deflector device prototype ( 14 ), creation (5) of a construction model for the deflector device prototype (14), production (6) of a deflector device according to the construction model, optional performance (7) of fuel-refilling tests with the deflector device produced according to the construction model and preferably series production (8) of the deflector device according to the construction model. The invention further relates to a construction kit (9) with prefabricated components (10, 11, 12) for producing a prototype (14) of a deflector device for fuel tank systems.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a fuel storage system for storing dimethylether (DME), a blend including DME, or other similar highly volatile fuel on a vehicle. The fuel storage system comprising a main storage tank (11), an expansion tank (12), a fuel filling receptacle (13) configured to receive a fuel filling nozzle (22) of a filling station, and a valve arrangement (16) having at least a normal operating setting and a fuel filling setting. The valve arrangement (16) in the normal operating setting provides a fuel passage between the main storage tank (11) and the expansion tank (12), and the valve arrangement (16) in the fuel filling setting both provides a fuel passage between the fuel filling receptacle (13) and the main storage tank (11) and prevents fuel flow between the main storage tank (11) and the expansion tank (12). The fuel storage system is configured to mechanically prevent disconnection of the fuel filling nozzle (22) from the fuel filling receptacle (13) unless the valve arrangement (16) is in the normal operating setting. The invention also relates to a corresponding method, as well as a further example embodiment of the fuel storage system.
Abstract:
A system for preventing overflow in a tank, fillable via a nozzle includes a substantially cylindrical receiver unit and a shutoff reservoir disposed within the receiver unit. The shutoff reservoir is moveable with respect to the receiver unit, along a main axis of the system. When the system is positioned within a fill passage for a fuel tank, a lower end of the reservoir unit is in communication with an interior of the fill passage, such that when a nozzle is inserted into the reservoir unit, fuel from the nozzle passes into the fill passage.
