In an arrangement for a seat (2) in a vehicle, the seat is movable in a longitudinal direction along a plane (33) which slopes relative to the horizontal plane. The subframe of the seat (2) consists of devices (30, 31) fastened respectively to the vehicle and to the seat, which devices consist of two substantially similar triangular supporting frames. Resetting between a predetermined driving position and a likewise predetermined resting position is made possible by a control device (16) which is fastened to the device (30) which is itself fastened to the vehicle, which control device cooperates with a locking device fastened to the seat so that during a relocating movement between forward and rear positions of the seat the locking device (17) becomes free from at least one locking position between the vehicle seat and the device (30) fastened to the vehicle.

A seat assembly for a vehicle having a vehicle floor and a vehicle control arrangement, the seat assembly comprising a seat base upon which a user of the vehicle sits, in use, in an elevated position, the user having a Hip Point and a knee point, and adjustment means (20) for adjusting the vertical height of the seat base (14) relative to the vehicle floor and for adjusting the longitudinal position of the seat base in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The adjustment means (20) is operable to provide a range of positions for the seat assembly which provides positional comfort for the vehicle user across a selected range of anthropometric body types, and whereby in every position of the seat assembly across the selected range the Hip Point of the driver is elevated above the knee point. An adjustable vehicle seat includes a seat track, a seat base, a backrest, and a remote damping system. The remote damping system includes a housing and a damping element disposed within the housing. A traction cable has a sheath with a first end and a second end, and a wire with a first end and a second end. The first end of the sheath is fixed with respect to the housing and the first end of the cable is coupled to the damping element.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Kraftfahrzeugsitz mit mindestens einer Einstellvorrichtung, mit der ein Sitzteil entgegen seiner Gewichtskraft und/oder entgegen der Gewichtskraft eines auf dem Sitz befindlichen Fahrzeuginsassen in seiner Lage verstellbar ist, und mit mindestens einem Federelement, das zur Reduzierung des Spiels unter Vorspannung auf eine die Verstellkraft übertragende kinematische Kette der mindestens einen Einstellvorrichtung einwirkt. Erfindungsgemäss ist das Federelement (5) derart angeordnet, dass bei einer Verstellung des Sitzteiles (10) entgegen der Gewichtskraft (G), das Federelement (6) entspannt, so dass Federenergie in die kinematische Kette eingespeist wird und daß bei einer Verstellung des Sitzteiles (10) in Richtung der Gewichtskraft (G) das Federelement (5) gespannt wird.

Structures of seating systems for human users are disclosed. In one embodiment, the structure comprises: a frame; a seat structure supported by the frame; and a back rest structure supported by the frame. The seat structure comprises a thigh support region and a pelvic support region where the pelvic support region defines a pelvic well for receiving an ischial tuberosity of the user and also provides a fulcrum to assist in rotating the pelvis of the user. The back rest structure comprises a gluteal panel for supporting a gluteal mass of the user and a posterior superior iliac spine (PSIS) panel disposed above the gluteal panel. The PSIS panel is adjustable to cause movement of a PSIS of the user and cooperate with the pelvic well to cause rotation of the pelvis of the user about the fulcrum provided by the pelvic well.
