Abstract:
A load vehicle (10) includes an elongate chassis (12), an elongate open topped load vessel (18) having a pair of longitudinally spaced ends (22) and transversely spaced sides (24, 26) extending between the ends (22). A discharge opening (28) leads at a low elevation from the vessel (18). A closure member (30) is mounted for pivotal displacement between a closed condition in which it closes the discharge opening (28) and an open position in which it permits discharge through the discharge opening (28). Mounting means (20) is configured to support the load vessel (18) for pivotal displacement about a longitudinally extending tipping axis (42) located above the closure member (30) between a carrying position and a dumping position, the closure member (30) being displaced between its closed and open positions automatically in response to the load vessel (18) being displaced between its carrying and dumping positions. Actuation means (40) is configured to displace the load vessel (18) between its carrying and dumping positions.
Abstract:
A tilting arrangement (12) for a loading arrangement (8), a transport vehicle (1 ) and a method for taking up lateral loads in a loading arrangement (8) are provided. The tilting arrangement (12) comprises an arm (14) which is connected to the load frame (9) via a first pivot joint (15a) and the cargo holder (10) via a second pivot joint (15b), such that the cargo holder (10) can rotate up to an angle a relative to the load frame (9) via the two pivot joints (15a, 15b). The tilting arrangement (12) and loading arrangement (8) have a common main plane (H) and a lateral direction (S). The tilting arrangement (12) comprises at least a first and at least one second guide members (18a, 18b) which are arranged to be attached to the load frame (9) and the cargo holder (10) such that said guide members (18a, 18b) are configured to transfer loads between the load frame (9) and the cargo holder (10) acting in said lateral direction (S), whereby the two pivot joints (15a, 15b) are substantially free from loads in said lateral direction (S)
Abstract:
A container handling apparatus (10) for receiving, positioning, engaging and releasing exchangeable chassis or sub-frame mounted containers (18), which may be truck bodies, or the like, capable of readily locking and unlocking a truck body or sub-frame to a supporting chassis (14) is disclosed that is self-contained on the chassis (14). A truck body or container which may be self-supporting is also disclosed
Abstract:
A towable trailer has a main frame and an inner frame, and a scissors-type lift structure between them so as to elevate the inner frame above the main frame. A first hydraulic cylinder is used to actuate the scissor-type lift in order to raise the inner frame. A second hydraulic cylinder is also preferably provided in order to raise the front end of the inner frame, so as to provide a towable trailer having a tiltable and raisable platform which can be more easily loaded and unloaded.
Abstract:
The device comprises, mounted on a frame (2), a tilting structure (5) acting as a floor and articulated about a longitudinal axis (4) and actuated by a pressure cylinder (7); a support leg (9) whose foot (8) is hinged to said structure (5) about an axis (10), actuated by means of a pressure cylinder (12) anchored to the structure (5); a cradle (14) associated to a bucket (15), articulated to the extremity of the structure (5) about an axis (13), said cradle forming with the underframe (2) and the structure (5) a Z configuration which provides for the guiding of said bucket (15) during lifting and tilting motions of the bucket with respect to the cradle (14), by the use of lifting means associated to the support leg; this very polyvalent device can be associated to a vehicle or to a trailer in order to carry out various works.
Abstract:
A car carrier truck used also as a dump truck, having a dump frame (502) provided on a chassis (501) so that the dump frame (502) can be tipped, a cargo container (507) provided on the dump frame (502) so that the cargo container (507) can be moved slidingly in the backward direction, and a rear door (514) of the cargo container (507) which is usable as a footboard when the cargo container (507) is slided back, and which can be opened at its lower portion thereof by an automatic opening and closing unit (542) when the cargo container (507) is tipped at not less than a predetermined angle. A means (517) for preventing a backward sliding movement of the cargo container (507) is provided between the cargo container (507) and dump frame (502), and a rear door locking means (516) operatively connected to the backward slide preventing means (517)in the cargo container. The rear door locking means (516) is adapted to lock a lower portion of the rear door (514) when the rear slide preventing means (517) is unlocked, and unlock the lower portion of the rear door (514) when the rear slide preventing means (517) is locked. Accordingly, this truck permits the rear door (514) to be used without fail as a footboard during vehicle unloading without causing the rear door (514) to fall off, and the cargo container (507) to be fixed to the dump frame (502) during dumping. This truck is therefore capable of discharging the cargoes without fail, and has so high a safety that there is no possibility that the falling off of the rear door and the turnover of the truck occur.
Abstract:
The invention relates to apparatus for transport with goods located therein and in one embodiment is provided in the form of a trailer which can be part of an articulated vehicle or can be provided as a fixed body of a vehicle. The trailer includes a goods storage cavity which is split into two portions, a first portion between the first, base floor and a second floor spaced above the first floor, and a second portion between the second floor and roof of the trailer. The angled configuration of the floors is fixed and/or can be adjusted in use so that the height of one or both of the respective portions increases towards the rear of the trailer. A door assembly is also provided which provides imp [roved access to the respective floors when the door assembly is open.
