Abstract:
System (10) for automatically packaging items varying in size and number for shipment, comprising a unit (32) for acquiring size information of one or more item(s) to be packaged, an inner packaging material feeding unit (24) for feeding an inner packaging material, an outer packaging material feeding unit (26) for feeding an outer packaging material, a first wrapping station (16) for wrapping said inner packaging material around one or more item(s) to be packaged to create an inner packing surrounding the item(s) in a first direction and a second wrapping station (18) for wrapping said outer packaging material around said inner packing to create an outer packing surrounding the inner packing in a second direction, said second direction being substantially perpendicular to said first direction, wherein the first and the second wrapping stations are adapted to form said inner packing and said outer packing such that the inner and the outer packing form a combined package enclosing the packaged item(s) from all sides.
Abstract:
An apparatus and process for packaging a pile (P) of paper articles, such as serviettes, paper handkerchiefs, napkins and the like, comprises a feeding station (1) of the pile (P) to be packaged with a drawer device (13) for receiving the pile (P) pushed by a first horizontal pusher (12) and partially wound by a packaging sheet (F) . Axial folding and welding means (32, 33) of the sheet (F) are arranged downstream of the feeding station (1) and side folding and welding means (52, 53) are arranged downstream of the axial folding and welding means (32, 33) The apparatus also comprises transporting means (31, 34) of the pile (P) along a normal direction with respect to the working direction of the first pusher, and a second horizontal pusher (14, 35b, 36b) for pushing the pile (P) from the drawer (13) onto the transporting means (31, 34). The axial folding and welding means (32, 33) comprise a stationary folding assembly (32) and a welding assembly (33) arranged along the transporting means (31, 34).
Abstract:
A wrapping group (10) for wrapping products (P), in particular editorial products, in containment bands (F), comprising a support structure (200) which defines an advancing plane (201) and with which are associated a first conveyor (11) for conveying a plurality of products (P) one after the other and spaced apart from each other, along the advancing plane (201) and along an advancing direction (D), wherein each editorial products (P) comprises a book and/or a packet of sheets or of sheeted products stacked on each other, a feeding device (12) for feeding a plurality of containment bands (F) laid in length one after the other and spaced apart from each other along a plane substantially transversal or orthogonal to said advancing direction (D) and along a feeding direction (A) substantially transversal or orthogonal to the advancing plane (201) of the products (P), wherein each of said containment band (F) has, parallel to the feeding direction (A), a length that is greater than the dimension that the respective product (P) has parallel to said advancing direction (D), and wherein each containment band (F) is intercepted by a respective product (P) advancing along the advancing direction (D) and folded by it in two on a second conveyor (13), which is aligned with and has the same direction as the first conveyor (11), to form a U-shaped pocket in which said respective product (P) is inserted and which has a lower band portion, resting on the second conveyor (13) and whereon the respective product (P) rests, and an upper band portion, resting on the respective product (P), said lower band portion or the upper band portion having a flap (L) that extends beyond the respective product (P) and behind it with respect to the advancing sense (B) of the product (P), thus inserted in said U-shaped pocket, along said advancing direction (D), and a folding and closing device (14) for folding said flap (L) respectively on the upper band portion or on the lower band portion.
Abstract:
Systems and methods of forming a mailpiece by folding an envelope sheet (310) around one or more insert sheets (322, 324) e.g., an insert stack, include creating the insert stack, staging the insert stack in an insert stager (35) proximate to the transport path (20) of the envelope sheet (310), dispensing the insert stack onto the envelope sheet, applying adhesive to the envelope sheet in the adhesive application region (45), using a buckle folder system (50) to wrap the envelope sheet at least partially around the insert stack to form an unsealed envelope without stopping the envelope sheet and without bending the insert stack, folding the envelope flap of the unsealed envelope onto the back thereof using a plow folder, and sealing the flap of the envelope to the back of the envelope, creating the mailpiece.
Abstract:
Abstract:
One embodiment of the present invention includes an apparatus for securing a wrapping material around an item, such as a baled agricultural item, the apparatus including a main plate and at least one projection, the projection including a heating element and a height adjustment mechanism, wherein the height adjustment mechanism controls a force applied to the wrapping material by the projection and provides a force for moving the projection.
Abstract:
A packaging assembly, which comprises a driving unit for at least one member (2) for gripping a product (3) to be packaged, along a predefined closed path (4), and means for moving, along a first direction (A) that substantially interferes with a useful segment (4a) of the closed path (4), a heat-sealing member (6) for flaps of film wrapped around the product (3); the movement means define a second direction (B) of motion, for the heat-sealing member (6), that is substantially parallel to the useful segment (4a); the rule of motion along the active stroke of the heat-sealing member (6) in the second direction (B) is substantially synchronous with the movement of the product (3) along at least one portion of the useful segment (4a).
Abstract:
Compact plant to group and stratify objects by wrapping them with flexible film to pack thermosealed parcels, in which all the operations of gathering, stratifying in piled groups and wrapping in flexible film, inferiorly thermosealed, occur in only one operative station, at the end of which the resulting parcel is thermosealed sideways even on the opposite sides.
