A composite product includes gypsum in an amount of 60 to 90% by weight, fibers in an amount of 1.5 to 26% by weight substantially homogeneously distributed through the composite, and a rheology-modifying agent in an amount of 0.5 to 6% by weight. The composite is caused or allowed to cure to form a cured composite. The cured composite is a fire resistant component used in a fire-rated door core, a fire-rated door or a fire-rated building panel. The fire resistant component may include a building panel, a door panel, a door core, a door rail, a door stile, a door lock block, a door border, or a door insert.

A process for making a fiber reinforced cementitious product such as a panel which hardens to an ultra-high compressive strength composite for use in making panels with ballistic and blast resistant properties. The panel has a continuous phase resulting from curing an aqueous mixture, in the absence of silica flour, of inorganic cement binder, inorganic mineral filler having a particle size of about 150-450 microns, pozzolanic mineral filler, and polycarboxylate based superplasticizer self-leveling agent, and water. The mixture may also include alkanolamine and acid or acid salt. The continuous phase may be reinforced with fiber distributed in the continuous phase before curing to form a panel. The panel may be reinforced with a fiber reinforced skin attached to at least one surface of the core, e.g., by lamination with an adhesive, e.g., epoxy, to form a ballistic and blast resistant cementitious armor panel.

A refractory furnace cement is provided, that can be formulated to be air setting and substantially free of silica. The composition can be formed with a refractory agent, a rheology modifier, a corrosion inhibitor, a binder, such as a sodium silicate type binder, a flocculating agent and various inorganic fillers, to promote thermal stability, shelf stability, appropriate setting times and cold mortar strength.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Trockenmörtel und eine Mörtelslurry sowie ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von halbstarren Belägen. In einer Ausführungsform enthält der Trockenmörtel bzw. die Mörtelslurry einen Zement, eine Feinstkomponente und ein Fliessmittel und ist frei von Silikastaub, wobei die Mörtelslurry bei einer Temperatur des Asphalttraggerüstes von 55 bis 80 °C aufgebracht werden kann und nach 28 Tagen eine Druckfestigkeit von mindestens 100 N/mm2 erreicht wird. In einer weiteren Ausführungsform enthält der Trockenmörtel bzw. die Mörtelslurry zusätzlich ein Geliermittel, so dass die Mörtelslurry eine verringerte Ausfliessneigung aufweist.

Provided is a mortar composition in which water is mixed with solids that comprise: 7.5 weight parts of coal ash; 1.5 to 3.0 weight parts of cement; 1.0 to 2.0 weight parts of calcined gypsum; 1.0 to 2.0 weight parts of quicklime (CaO); 0.01 to 2.0 weight parts of a retardant; and 0.01 to 0.5 weight parts of a viscosity increasing agent, to thereby prepare a mortar having high compressive strength without using sand.

A prefabricated fire-resistant construction element having a relatively low average thickness, comprising a hardened plaster-based substrate that can be obtained by hydration, by mixing for example dry matter that is primarily made up of at least one hydratable calcium sulphate and a mineral additive in a discrete form comprising an argillaceous material, characterized in that the mineral additive substantially comprises argillaceous material wherein the amount of crystalline silica is at the most approximately 15 % of the weight of said mineral additive, and an inert mineral complement that is compatible with argillaceous material and is dispersible in the hardened plaster substrate.
