Abstract:
The invention relates to a multiple layer composite material and to a method for producing the same. Said multiple layer composite material has at least one layer consisting of cement-bound concrete and at least one layer consisting of polymer-bound concrete. The transition area between adjacent layers of cement-bound concrete and polymer-bound concrete has at least the material strength of the less stable of the concrete layers adjoining the transition area. The layer consisting of polymer-bound concrete allows the diffusion of water vapour but cannot be penetrated by liquid water. The multiple layer composite material can be produced completely in an aqueous system.
Abstract:
An improved ceramic crucible is described. The crucible is a yttrium oxide based ceramic coated crucible comprising a crucible comprising a sintered ceramic of 40-60 wt% alumina and 40-60 wt% aluminosilicate. A yttrium oxide based ceramic coating is on at least a portion of a surface of the crucible wherein the yttrium oxide based ceramic coating comprises a first zone closest to the crucible and a second zone with the first zone between the second zone and the crucible. The first zone is relatively alumina rich, and preferably comprises YAG, and the second zone is silica bearing.
Abstract:
A method is described for producing layered structures comprising a porous metal layer and a ceramic containing layer comprising wherein a porous green ceramic layer is provided, and thereafter loose metal particles are applied to the green ceramic layer before sintering. In one embodiment, the green ceramic layer, after application of the loose metal particles, is dried to drive off the solvent and cause interpenetration of the metal particles. In another embodiment loose particles can be removed from the composite such as by shaking, and the green ceramic/loose metal particles composite compressed to cause further interpenetration of the metal particles prior to sintering.

In the manufacture of slab-type products in which an initial mix-formed by a granulate and by a binder-is deposited on a temporary support and then subjected to vibrocompaction under vacuum and conveyed away for the hardening stages, before vibrocompaction a dye is deposited on the surface of the mix layer with a random and patch-like layout before the vibrocompaction step.

Fleckige Dunkelverfärbungen an Sichtbetonoberflächen können vermieden werden, indem dem Sichtbeton vor dessen Aushärten zumindest in seinem nach dem Aushärten die Sichtbetonoberfläche bildenden Bereich ein Verfärbungsminderungsmittel zugegeben wird, das Kationen von Alkalimetallen und anorganische und/oder organische Anionen enthält, und/oder zur Herstellung zumindest des nach dem Aushärten die Sichtbetonoberfläche bildenden Bereiches des Sichtbetons ein Zement mit einem Na 2 O-Äquivalent von mindestens 0,7 M.-%, welches durch Zugabe löslicher Alkalien erreicht wird, verwendet wird.
