Abstract:
Abstract:
A pre-fabricated curtaining, partitioning and/or coating brick (1) is described, composed of a mixture of shredded material made of sheep wool and milk wool fibres in an amount of 5% in weight, a binder made of Natural Hydraulic Lime NHL5 in an amount included between 35% and 60% in weight, sand, earth or marble inerts in an amount included between 35% ed 60% in weight.
Abstract:
There is discloses a coating on mono- or poly-crystalline diamond or diamond-containing material. The coating comprises a first adhesive layer formed directly on the diamond or diamond-containing material, the first layer comprising tungsten and tungsten carbide alloyed with fluorine in an amount of 0.001 to 0.12wt% calculated on the total weight of the first layer. The coating further comprises a second protective layer formed on the first layer, the second layer comprising at least tungsten alloyed with fluorine in an amount of 0.001 to 0.12wt% calculated on the total weight of the second layer. The adhesive layer provides excellent bond strength to diamond, while the protective layer provides good protection against oxidation and molten metals used for attaching the coated diamonds to tools.
Abstract:
A dry ceramic glazing composition, dry ceramic glazing method and glazed product are disclosed wherein an antimicrobial composition is included in the frit, adhesive or both. The antimicrobial dry glaze process imparts built-in and long lasting antimicrobial characteristics to ceramic products.
Abstract:
A device and a method for controlled dispensing of a solid loose material, in granular, powder or scale form, comprising a container hopper (3) of the material provided with at least a discharge mouth (33), a distribution element (4) located at a distance below the discharge mouth (33), such that material exiting from the container hopper (3) can accumulate thereon, and vibrator means (5, 50) selectively destined to set the distribution element (4) in vibration, such that the accumulated material slides on the distribution element (4) up until the material falls from at least a falling edge (41) thereof.
Abstract:
A method of applying a powder coating to a non-metallic substrate such as a length of a lignocellulosic material, e.g a length of wood, is disclosed. The substrate is impregnated or has applied to the surface thereof, a composition containing a pre-accelerated, unsaturated polyester resin containing a latent catalyst therefor, either dissolved in a suitable non-aqueous solvent or mixed or dispersed in water. Thereafter the non-aqueous solvent or water is removed, and the substrate is placed in an electrostatic field or in a fluidised bed and a powder coating composition is applied thereto. The substrate is then subjected to an elevated temperature to polymerise and/or cross-link the polyester resin in or on the substrate and to cure the powder coating composition to form the powder coating. The result is a product with a decorative powder coating which may be used for many purposes.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for the preparation of a heat curable paint binder composition containing a compound comprising hydroxyalkylamide groups. At first a compound comprising hydroxyalkyl amide units and carboxylic acid units is obtained by reacting a cyclic anhydride and an alkanolamine in a mixing device and that secondly the binder composition is obtained by mixing the compound and a polymer in a second mixing device.
Abstract:
Carbon fluoride particles wherein the number-average particle diameter is 0.01-50 mu m, the content of particles having such diameters that the particle size distribution thereof falls within the range from the number-average particle diameter minus 20 % to the number-average particle diameter plus 20 % amounts to at least 50 % of the whole, the true specific gravity is 1.7 to 2.5, the F to C ratio of the particle as a whole is 0.001 to 0.5, and the F to C ratio at the surface of the particle is invariably greater than that of the particle as a whole and is 0.1 to 2.0. The carbon fluoride particles can be produced by the reaction of carbon particles with fluorine at 350-600 DEG C for 1 minute to 6 hours. The obtained particles have excellent dispersibility and powder fluidity and are used as such or in the form of composite material as water- and oil-repellent, detackifying agent, solid lubricant, conductivity improver, additive for electrostatic development toner, additive for resinous coating layer of electrostatic development carrier, composite material for fixing roller, phosphate-type fuel cell, air/zinc battery and nickel/hydrogen storage battery.
