Abstract:
The present invention relates to a waterproofing construction method for increasing the heat-insulating effects of a building, and more particularly, to a waterproofing construction method for a building using an expanded perlite composition having heat-insulating effects, as well as improved tensile strength and breaking strength.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a method for reinforcing irregular rock or irregular concrete surfaces such as rock structures in mines as well as other rock and concrete structures. The method includes applying a curable foam composition to at least a portion of a surface, at least partially curing the curable foam composition to form a foam layer adhered to the surface, applying a curable reinforcing composition onto at least a portion of the foam layer, and at least partially curing the curable reinforcing composition to form a reinforcing layer, wherein at least a portion of the reinforcing layer is adhered to the foam layer.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Systems and methods of staining a surface. An organic salt is used in combination with a metal salt to provide a decorative stain that can be used to stain any of a variety of pH basic surfaces, including concrete. In at least some implementations, urea hydrochloride or an equivalent thereof is used as an organic salt in combination with a metal salt to create an alkali reactive decorative stain that can be used to stain any of a variety of pH basic surfaces, including concrete. The urea hydrochloride is safe and environmentally fit to use. Different metal salts are used and/or mixed to obtain a desired color and/or appearance.
Abstract:
Provided is a novel method for sealing natural stone. The method comprises applying a base coat comprising a synthetic polymer, drying the base coat, applying a UV-cure topcoat, volatizing organic solvents from the topcoat, and curing the UV- cure topcoat by exposure to UV light. The UV-cure topcoat used in the method comprises an acrylate oligomer, photoinitiators, and flow and wetting additives. Methods are also provided wherein the topcoat further comprises a fungal inhibitor. The described methods provide a coating with excellent adhesion, and a smoother, more uniform topcoat. Moreover, this coating system allows moisture to migrate from the back side of tile through the coatings to evaporate to the surface, a feature critical to preventing deterioration of the stone over time.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for surface treatment of elements comprising a hydraulic binder where the process comprises the following steps: Placing the elements under a pressure lower than the ambient air pressure for a certain period of time; arranging a mist of an impregnating agent immediately around at least part of the element, where the molecular size of the impregnating agent is less than or equal to 0.2µm. Furthermore, the invention also relates to apparatuses for carrying out the process.
Abstract:
A new and improved process for printing a durable image 12 prepared from sublimable inks on a substrate 24 by first providing the substrate 24 with a transparent polymeric top coating 26 formed from an acrylic polyol or isocyanate resins or mixtures thereof and transferring onto the substrate 24 the image 12 formed from sublimable inks by sublimation.
