The present disclosure is drawn to a fabric print medium including a fabric substrate, a primary coating layer, and a secondary coating layer. The fabric substrate can have a first side and a second side. The primary coating layer can be applied to the first side of the fabric substrate at a thickness from 2 µm to 250 µm with a dry coat weight ranging from about 5 gsm to about 300 gsm and can include a polymeric binder and filler particles. The secondary coating layer can be applied to the primary coating layer at a thickness from 1 µm to 50 µm with a dry coat weight ranging from 0.5 gsm to 50 gsm and can include a first crosslinked polymeric network and a second crosslinked polymeric network. The primary coating layer can be two or more times thicker than the secondary coating layer.

Methods and processes for depositing a fire resistant barrier on a construction material involve coating exposed webbing of, for instance, an I-joist with a fire-resistant material using a wetting layer and a thickening layer. A time period between depositing the wetting layer and thickening layer is controlled to facilitate complete wetting of the exposed webbing. Filler such as fiberglass may be included in the thickening layer. The wetting and thickening layers may be deposited on the webbing in the same application. The construction material, such as the I-joist, may then be subjected to a curing treatment and additional curing period followed by coating the second side using a similar methodology.

Durch die erfindungsgemäße Zusammensetzung können in einfacher und schneller Weise Beschichtungen mit der für die jeweilige Feuerwiderstandsdauer erforderlichen Schichtdicke aufgetragen werden, wobei die Schichtdicke auf ein Minimum reduziert und dennoch eine gute Brandschutzwirkung erreicht werden kann. Die erfindungsgemäße Zusammensetzung eignet sich besonders für den Brandschutz, insbesondere als Beschichtung von Kabel und Kabeltrassen zur Erhöhung der Feuerwiderstandsdauer.

The coating compositions are effective to control the drying rate and shrinkage of fireproofing materials. The coating compositions are also able to be applied to fireproofing materials shortly after these materials have been applied to a substrate.
