Abstract:
The invention relates to the field of antibodies. In particular the invention relates to milk-derived antigen specific antibodies for generating an adaptive immune response, methods of preparation, and uses thereof.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of preparations enriched with anti LPS antibodies, such as those derived from mammalian colostrum or avian eggs, and optionally further antibodies against disease-associated antigens, colostrums, milk or milk product component/s and any adjuvants for treating, delaying or preventing the progression of a pathologic disorder such as chronic liver disease, cirrhosis and any complication or disorder associated therewith. The invention further relates to combined compositions comprising a combination of anti-LPS enriched antibody preparations and antibodies recognizing at least one antigen specific for a pathologic disorder and uses thereof in the treatment of immune-related disorders.
Abstract:
Disclosed are compounds that include two or more haptens conjugated by a spacer or a carrier. The haptens may include diethylenetriaminepentaacetate (DTPA), histimine-succinyl-glutamine (HSG), or combinations of DTPA and HSG. The compound also includes an effector molecule which may be conjugated to one or more of the haptens, the spacer/carrier, or both. The effector molecule may be conjugated by a number of linkages including an ester linkage, an imino linkage, an amino linkage, a sulfide linkage, a thiosemicarbazone linkage, a semicarbazone linkage, an oxime linkage, an ether linkage, or combinations of these linkages. Also disclosed are methods of synthesizing the compounds and/or precursors of the compounds.
Abstract:
A composition for oral dosage for passive immunization of a subject against EV71 comprising polyclonal antibodies and a method for raising polyclonal antibodies against EV71 antigen in hyperimmune ungulate colostrum or hyperimmune avian eggs.
Abstract:
The present invention includes a pharmaceutical compositions and methods for treating diseases associated with gluten intolerance in a patient, comprising: administering to the patient an effective amount of an antibody having specific activity against gluten or gluten-derived peptides. Such diseases include, for example, celiac disease and dermatitis herpetiformis.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to retroviral constructs that encode novel monoclonal antibodies, novel fusion proteins, and chimeric monoclonal antibodies and to methods of using and producing the same. In particular, the present invention relates to methods of producing a fusion protein comprising a microorganism targeting molecule ( e.g., immunoglobulin or innate immune system receptor molecule) and a biocide ( e.g ., bactericidal enzyme) in transgenic animals ( e.g., bovines) and in cell cultures. The present invention also relates to therapeutic and prophylactic methods of using a fusion protein comprising a microorganism targeting molecule and a biocide in health care ( e.g ., human and veterinary), agriculture ( e.g., animal and plant production), and food processing ( e.g., beef carcass processing). The present invention also relates to methods of using a fusion protein comprising a microorganism targeting molecule and a biocide in various diagnostic applications in number of diverse fields such as agriculture, medicine, and national defense.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a bi-specific antibody or antibody fragment having at least one arm that is reactive against a targeted tissue and at least one other arm that is reactive against a linker moiety. The linker moiety encompasses a hapten to which antibodies have been prepared. The antigenic linker is conjugated to one or more therapeutic or diagnostic agents or enzymes. The invention provides constructs and methods for producing the bi-specific antibodies or antibody fragments, as well as methods for using them.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a bi-specific antibody or antibody fragment having at least one arm that specifically binds a targeted tissue and at least one other arm that specifically binds a targetable conjugate. The targetable conjugate comprises a carrier portion which comprises or bears at least one epitope recognizable by at least one arm of said bi-specific antibody or antibody fragment. The targetable conjugate further comprises one or more therapeutic or diagnostic agents or enzymes. The invention provides constructs and methods for producing the bi-specific antibodies or antibody fragments, as well as methods for using them.
