The present invention provides an alternative for tensioning a control loop of a screen, such as a window covering. The invention provides for this purpose an assembly (1) of a tassel (10) for tensioning a control loop (3) of a screen such as a window covering by means of gravitational force, comprising at least an elongate body and control loop guide means for the control loop, and a wall element (20), this wall element being configured for fixing to a wall and intended for receiving the tassel (10), wherein the tassel and the wall element are configured such that the tassel is enclosed by the wall element during operation and the tassel is substantially movable in the wall element. According to the invention the body is provided on the longitudinal side thereof with a guide slot and the wall element is provided with one or more guide elements, wherein the guide slot and the guide elements are configured for co-action.

Eine nachrüstbare Antriebseinrichtung für einen Rollladengurt weist Friktionsrollen für die Mitnahme des Rollladengurtes auf. Zum Antrieb der Friktionsrollen wird ein mehrstufiges Getriebe verwendet. Durch die Wahl der Grösse der Friktionsrolle und des damit gekoppelten Zahrades kann der Umschlingungswinkel vergrössert werden.

Einen nachrüstbare Antriebseinrichtung (7) für einen Rollladengurt (5) weist Friktionsrollen (36) für die Mitnahme des Rollladengurtes (5) auf. Zum Antrieb der Friktionsrollen (36) wird ein mehrstufiges Getriebe (19) verwendet. Bei einem Zwischenrad des Getriebes sind das Rad (32) und das Ritzel (33) voneinander räumlich getrennt, so dass eine Stapelung von Zahnrädern neben einer Platine (13) vermieden wird. Hierdurch kann eine symmetrische Führung eines Rollladengurtes (5) zwischen den Platinen (13, 14) erreicht werden.

The apparatus and method allows the free end of the blind to be selectively positioned and retained at a predetermined position intermediate the fully retracted and fully extended positions and to be retained at that position.

A device for safely actuating a blind, in particular a window blind, totally eliminates the hazard of kinking or strangulating of a person (in particular, a child) staying close to the free-hanging wrapping connector. A circularly closed wrapping connector (1) is the device threaded through a profile (6) whose length is lower than that of half of the connector's circumference. The profile (6) may have the form of e.g. a bush whose position with respect to the connector can be ultimately stopped by e.g. a plug (7) fixed at the lower part of the bush. Alternatively, the stop can have the form of a ring (8), being strung onto the wrapping connector (1) and adhering to the bush, while the profile can have the form of a rod (9) terminated with eyes (9a,9b), with the lower eye (9b) being strung onto the connector (1). Further, the profile in form of the bush (10) can have a longitudinal partition of the length lower than that of the profile, with the partition being strung onto the connector (1).

The first shade may include two laterally-separable sheets interconnected by a plurality of vertically-spaced vanes. The second shade may be wrappable about the second roller.

Disclosed is a roman shade assembly (100, 200) that utilizes lift bands (108, 208) rather than lift cords. The shade (110, 210) can be formed of textured materials or woven woods. The shade assembly includes lift bands (108,208) that attach to a rotatable member (s) (115, 215) and can be extended or retracted within an architectural opening by rotating the member (s). The lift bands can be slidingly connected to the shade at multiple points along the vertical length of the shade. Accordingly, as the wide lift bands are extended or retracted, the attached shade is likewise extended or retracted to cover or uncover an architectural opening.
