    Abstract: An air-cooled disk brake (1) for industrial applications, comprising a main body designed for connection to an industrial apparatus and comprising two interconnectable circular flanges (110, 120), at least one brake disk (200) being interposed between said flanges (110, 120) and being adapted to rotate about its own axis (xl) and a friction unit (130). Particularly, the friction unit (130) comprises at least one longitudinally sliding friction element (132) which is designed for engagement with the brake disk (200), and a pneumatic actuator (134) that controls the longitudinal movement of the friction element (132) on the brake disk (200). Each flange (110, 120) is composed of at least two mutually joinable, substantially semicircular flange halves.

    Abstract: The braking device comprises a braking member (3) adapted to generate a braking action on the vehicle while dispersing braking particles. The braking member comprises a braking disc (10) with a rotation axis (R1), and an enclosure (5) around the braking member comprising an air inlet (15a, 15b) for providing the cooling air to the braking member and an air outlet (17a, 17b) for the cooling air from the braking member. The air outlet comprises a filter element (20) adapted to receive and collect the released braking particles from the braking member (3). The filter element (20) is arranged at a larger distance from the rotation axis (R1) than the air inlet (15). The braking member (10) comprises at least one cooling channel (19) directed away from the rotation axis (R1) and adapted to allow the cooling air to stream through the cooling channel. The cooling channel and the filter element (20) are arranged so that at a rotation of the braking disc an air stream is generated that is directed towards the filter element.

    Abstract: Wet disc brake system (10) comprises a housing assembly (12) and brake callipers (14). Housing assembly (12) is provided with openings (24) for seating cylinders (22) of respective brake callipers (14). The callipers (14) are coupled to a structural component of a vehicle to which the system (10) is fitted and in particular a flange (28) of an axle housing (16). This enables reactive forces created during a braking operation to be transmitted via the callipers to the flange (28) and axle housing (16) rather than being carried by housing assembly (12). As housing assembly (12) does not bear any substantive load, it may be made of a relatively light weight construction or material. The application is also directed to a disc brake system comprising a service and park brake calliper provided with at least two cylinders wherein at least one cylinder houses a hydraulically operated service piston and at least one cylinder houses a park piston that is applied by a spring and released by air pressure.
