Abstract:
The present invention teaches methods useful for accurately and precisely analyzing cannabis plants, plant parts, and extract samples. In particular, the present invention teaches methods of extracting, and quantifying cannabinoid and terpene constituents.
Abstract:
Immunoassays, methods, and kits for qualitative and/or quantitative detection of cannabinoids in specimens including, without limitation, bodily fluids (e.g., blood, urine, oral fluid or sweat) or other biological specimens and potential drug samples.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention include integrated systems and methods of evaluating cannabis and cannabinoid products for public safety, quality control and quality assurance purposes for research and public use purposes. Embodiments of the invention facilitate suppliers and consumers of a cannabis and/or cannabinoid product to evaluate the origin, efficacy, potency, and quality of the product. Embodiments of the invention also include cannabis processing center where samples of the products are analyzed for research studies to test and set parameters for third parties. Embodiments of the invention include, for example, analyzing cannabis products to determine quality and quantity of desired components and undesired components, determining concentrations of cannabinoids in the product, and comparing measures of components in the product against regulations. Embodiments of the invention further include, for example, an online testing facility for determine whether cannabis products meet a plurality of regulations or guidelines.
Abstract:
Compositions and methods for detecting the presence and/or amount of one or more analytes, including analytes such as drugs of abuse in a hair wash sample are provided. The compositions include two or more analytes associated with a solid phase, e.g., a particle or a multiwell plate. The compositions and methods also allow the simultaneous, tandem, or serial determination of the presence and/or amount of two or more analytes of interest in a hair wash sample.
Abstract:
A bio-nano-chip (BNC) technology that works in connection with non-invasive samples, such as saliva, cheek swab or urine samples that can be easily performed by non-specialists, such as security personnel and police officers is disclosed. The microfluidic system for drug testing includes an analyzer or reader having a housing containing a slot for receiving a cartridge, a drug testing cartridge, a processor having a user interface, an optical or energy sensing means, and a means for moving fluid.
Abstract:
A binding partner, especially an antibody fragment that specifically recognizes an antigen-antibody immune complex between anti-THC and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), is disclosed. The binding partner facilitates a non-competitive homogenous immunoassay for detection of cannabis use. A test kit comprising the binding partner is also described. Preferably the immunoassay is applied for roadside testing of saliva from suspected drivers.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for detecting the outcome of pregnancy in pregnant mammals, particularly humans, presenting with a threatened miscarriage. In particular, the invention relates to a method for diagnosing a threatened miscarriage, comprising detecting the level of an endocannabinoid in a body fluid sample from a subject mammal.
Abstract:
It has now been discovered that certain cannabinoids specifically activate TRPV2 channel activity. Based on the discovery, novel compositions and methods for screening, identifying and characterizing compounds that increase or decrease the biological activity of a TRPV2.
