    摘要: An electronic circuit comprising an input powered part and a supply powered part, wherein the input powered is arranged to receive one or more inputs and generate one or more outputs as a function of the or each input, the/or each output controlling the supply powered part of the circuit. The input powered part may be powered substantially or exclusively by its input(s). The input powered may be capable of operating when drawing power of less than 10 nW of power. The input powered part may be capable of operating from an input which rises with no minimum gradient, preferably from 0V. One or more inputs to the input powered part may be connected to a respective sensor, preferably a voltage generating sensor such that the input powered part of the circuit is at least substantially, and preferably exclusively, powered by the/or each sensor.

An alert comprises one or more of an audible alarm, a visual indicator of alarm, or an electrical current (of less than 20 mA) emitted from the energized lines and contacted with the skin of the trainee engaged with the training system.

    摘要: Systems and techniques detecting a reverse current are disclosed. An apparatus comprises a switching circuit coupled to a load and a reference node. The switching circuit may be capable of conducting a reverse current from the reference node to the load when a voltage at the load is lower than a voltage at the reference node. A voltage source has a first terminal coupled to the load, a second terminal configured to follow a voltage at the load, and produces a voltage proportional to a voltage drop across the switching circuit. A comparator circuit is coupled to compare a voltage at the second terminal of the voltage source to the voltage at the reference node and configured to indicate when the reverse current has a magnitude greater than a predetermined threshold.

    摘要: A brown out detector (BOD), configured to provide a BOD reset in the event of a brown out event, is provided. The BOD includes means for tracking a reference voltage that is updated through duty cycling schemes so as to reduce power consumption, as well as means for detecting a falling flank of a supply voltage so as to optimize response times. More specifically, the BOD includes at least one track module, at least one sample module, at least one detector module and at least one comparator. The comparator is configured to compare a duty cycled tracked reference voltage with a duty cycled sampled reference voltage and to output a BOD reset if the tracked reference voltage is less than the sampled reference voltage. The comparator is further capable of exhibiting improved response times when a boost current is received. The boost current is provided by the detector module when the supply voltage falls beyond a predetermined threshold.

    摘要: Voltage reversal in fuel cell stacks may be detected and/or prevented by monitoring each cell or small groups of cells in the stack for low voltage conditions. An improved cell voltage monitor is constructed using a plurality of voltage monitoring units in which each unit comprises a heating resistor, a rectifier in series therewith, and a sensing thermistor in thermal communication with the heating resistor. The heating resistor is electrically-connected across a cell or cells and heats the associated sensing thermistor in accordance with the voltage of the cell(s). Since the resistance of the sensing thermistor is indicative of its temperature and hence also of voltage of the cell(s), the sensing thermistor resistance can be used to signal a low voltage condition.
