Systems and methods are provided for predicting cardiotoxicity of molecular parameters of a compound. A computer can provide as input to a machine learning algorithm the molecular parameters of the compound. The molecular parameters can include at least structural information about the compound. The machine learning algorithm can have been trained using respective molecular parameters of compounds known to have cardiotoxicity and of compounds known not to have cardiotoxicity. The computer can receive as output from the machine learning algorithm a representation of the predicted cardiotoxicity of each molecular parameter of at least a subset of the molecular parameters of the compound.

Techniques for performing data acquisition and analysis are described. A multi-mode acquisition strategy may be performed which iteratively selects mass isolation windows of different sizes in different scan cycles to acquire experimental data. The mass isolation windows selected may provide for acquiring elevated energy scan data for a defined set of m/z values. Single scan data analysis may be performed. Data analysis may include forming precursor charge clusters, chaining precursor charge clusters having the same mass to charge ratio to form peaks profiles, and using criteria to align precursor and product ions of the experimental data. Unsupervised and supervised clustering may be performed using a database and composite ion spectra formed from experimental data. Also described are a small molecule acquisition enhancement and additional techniques applicable for biopharmaceutical and other applications.

The present application provides systems and methods for analyzing animal feeds and for adjusting animal feeds to improve the digestibility of animal feed components. Digestibility of animal feed can be determined by performing in vitro digestion of the feed and analyzing concentrations of residual components in the digested feed by NIR spectroscopy. Animal feed compositions can be adjusted to improve digestibility of components in the feed. The systems and methods of the present application can be used to determine the effect of an additive on the digestibility of feed.

Provided herein are systems and methods for selecting compounds that have reduced risk of cardiotoxicity or which are not likely to be cardiotoxic. As an example, a system and method can include a computational dynamic model combined with a high throughput screening in silico that mimics one of the most important ion channels associated with cardiotoxicity, namely the human Ether-a-go-go Related Gene (hERG) channel. Also provided herein are systems and methods for redesigning compounds that are predicted to be cardiotoxic based on the model and the high throughput screening.

Methods for identifying metabolic signatures in blood plasma which are unique to autism are described herein. Samples are analyzed using multiple chromatographic-mass spectrometry-based techniques to orthogonally measure a broad range of small molecular weight metabolites differentially produced in autistic patient samples versus non-autistic control samples. These individual metabolites or a panel of such metabolites serve as metabolic signatures of autism. Such metabolic signatures are used in diagnostic methods to accurately identify individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
