Abstract:
An application (300) enabling a player to utilize a portable computing device (200), such as a Smartphone, to function as a game controller for a gaming machine (100). The user would receive and return an associating link code (420) to initiate a communication link (310) between the gaming machine (100) and the portable computing device (200) by way of tapping (161), manually (424) entering the code (420), or scanning (426, 428) an image of the code (412). The portable computing device (200) enables manual user input or use of motion controllers for controlling skill based games in a casino environment. The application (300) can receive a configuration from the gaming machine (100) to replicate or mimic the controls (320, 322) and the gaming images (330), thus enabling the player to play the game at a short distance from the machine (100). The gaming machine (100) can suspend play or terminate play when the portable computing device (200) becomes distant or disconnected from the gaming machine (100).
Abstract:
Methods, systems and graphical user interfaces for pending wagers. In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, a computer-implemented method includes displaying an icon on a graphical user interface corresponding to an accepted wager. The method may additionally include accessing an instruction to open a first bet on a first micro event, displaying a user interface to accept the first bet on the first micro event, and accepting the first bet on the first micro event to create the accepted wager. The method may further include accessing an instruction to open a second bet on a second micro event and displaying a user interface to accept the second bet on the second micro event.
Abstract:
A system (100) may include an imaging device (178), a paper payment dispensing mechanism (182), a processor (170), and memory (174) storing instructions executable by the processor. The instructions may include obtaining identification information and wager information from a bar code that was captured by the imaging device (178) from a client device (150) and dispensing payments from paper payment dispensing mechanism (182).
Abstract:
An electronic ticket (30) is disclosed which includes a date of purchase (31), a ticket identifier (32), wager attributes (33), a draw identifier (35), a draw date (36), draw numbers (37), an authority authorized retail identifier (38), and an authority authorized retail terminal identifier (39). The electronic ticket (30) may be a displayed version of an image file, or other electronic file type, which is stored and displayed upon a mobile computer device (50). The image file creates a matrix of pixels which together form a picture including text which form the electronic ticket. The image pixels are manipulated by steganographic techniques, to encode various attributes, including the manipulation of the least significant digits of the numeric value of the pixel color.
Abstract:
A method of operating a server including receiving a request from an electronic device for access by a user to a puzzle, and retrieving a profile for the user and conditions for access to the puzzle. If the user is authorized access then the puzzle is sent to the electronic device for display to the user. A user input regarding a puzzle piece is received and verified. If the input is valid with respect to that puzzle piece then the appearance of the display or that puzzle piece is changed. If inputs for a predetermined number of puzzle pieces or a predetermined set of puzzle pieces have been verified, then the display on the electronic device indicates that a goal has been reached.
Abstract:
A system and method for controlling an electronic gaming machine ("EGM") from a mobile device during a remote access play session. The EGM is switched between a local access mode in which the inputs on the EGM are active and a remote access mode in which the inputs on the EGM are de-activated and a player interfaces the EGM using a mobile device such as a smartphone or a tablet computer. During remote access play sessions, all critical game play operations continue to be performed exclusively on the EGM and not on the mobile device. Critical game play operations include random number generation and determination of game outcome. Game content, including video, screenshot images and audio of the game are transmitted to the mobile device for display to the player. Player input and selections are made on the mobile device.
Abstract:
A mobile gaming device may be a player's own personal tablet, 5 smartphone, PDA, etc., with an application program installed via the internet for carrying out a remote gaming session. All gaming functions are carried out by a stationary gaming terminal communicating with the mobile device, such as by using WiFi. The mobile device operates as a user interface. For 3D images, the original format may be adjusted for the mobile device.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for providing an interactive media based gambling hybrid game. Interactive media is provided to a player with the interactive media having a storyline and a plurality of storyline branches for the storyline. Player interactions with the interactive media are received and a determination is made when a real credit gambling event occurs based on the received player interactions. An outcome of the gambling event is determined and a storyline branch from among the plurality of storyline branches is determined on the basis of the outcome of the gambling event and presented to the player.
Abstract:
A method and system for controlling a computer machine such as a casino game machine includes a remote activation arrangement that does not require the computer machine to complete an online communication or series of communications. The method and system utilize a QR type code associated with each computer machine to simplify the communication of necessary information to an online website supported by a computer server. A separate mobile device of an operator or user scans a QR type code of the machine and uses the QR type code to simplify the communication and registration with the server. An authorization code is transmitted back to the mobile device and manually entered in the machine allowing the machine to function in its intended manner.
