Abstract:
Method for providing a plurality of additional camera views to a viewer in a television system where there are provided: • - a first source (6, 7) providing at least one camera view related to an event selected by a TV director of the television system and broadcasted to the viewer, • - and a second source (9, 10) providing at least one different camera view related to said event and where this camera view is not currently being used by the TV director for transmission,
Abstract:
Abstract:
Embodiments related to selecting advertisements for display to targeted viewers are disclosed. In one example embodiment, an advertisement is selected by, for each of a plurality of advertisements, aggregating a plurality of emotional response profiles from a corresponding plurality of prior viewers of the advertisement to form an aggregated emotional response profile for the advertisement, wherein each of the emotional response profiles comprises a temporal record of a prior viewer's emotional response to the advertisement. The method further includes identifying a group of potentially positively correlated viewers for the targeted viewer, filtering the aggregated emotional response profiles based on the group of potentially positively correlated viewers, selecting a particular advertisement from the plurality of advertisements based on a correlation of the filtered aggregated emotional response profiles, and sending the particular advertisement for display to the targeted viewer.

Abstract:
A system and method for time synchronized splicing operation on a broadcasting stream is disclosed. In one embodiment, the method for time synchronized splicing operation on the broadcasting stream comprises scheduling the splicing operation on the broadcasting stream in accordance of a schedule, and performing the splicing operation on the scheduled broadcasting stream in accordance with one or more events of the schedule.
Abstract:
The present invention provides multi media video streams via high speed internet to a worldwide audience by using a specialized automation system with audio and video switching capabilities. This system provides video media streams to multiple platforms such as, cell phones, internet websites, and cable television subscribers.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for transmitting/receiving an urgent packet in a digital broadcast system is provided. A packet transmission apparatus of a digital broadcast transmitter includes a buffer which buffers broadcast packets; an urgent packet generator which generates an urgent packet having an urgent packet header indicating the urgent packet when a packet containing urgent data is detected; and a frame generator which generates a frame with the broadcast packets and inserts the urgent packet into the frame, wherein the urgent packet is substituted for one of broadcast packets in the frame.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system and method for providing video from a user-selected broadcasting camera, which allow a viewer to select and view video signals captured by a plurality of broadcasting cameras. For this, the present invention receives a first video signal and a second video signal from at least two capturing devices (10a to 10n) for capturing a broadcast content item, provides the first video signal to a user terminal (11a to 11n) connected through a network using the first video signal as a signal for a main broadcast channel, provides identification information about video signals captured by respective capturing devices, receives selection information for any one of the capturing devices from the user terminal based on the identification information, and thereafter provides the second video signal corresponding to the identification information to the user terminal.
Abstract:
An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed to distribute digital media information to an end user through individual modules. The invention includes a central networked data point (802) controlling access to and manipulation of the digital media information for display at an end user display (806) and one or more content modules (1204), the one or more content modules (1204) providing access to digital media information at the end user display (806). Also included are a framework module (906) configured to assemble the one or more content modules (1204) into a framework definition forming a graphical user interface (GUI) (1202) for the end user display (806) and a framework modification module (908) configured to selectively include content modules (1204) in the framework definition. Beneficially, such an apparatus, system, and method would allow for the distribution of digital media along with easy modification of the type and configuration of the media displayed.
