The adsorption zone effluent is passed to a demethanizer column to provide an overhead stream comprising hydrogen, nitrogen, methane, ethylene and ethane and a net bottoms stream comprising ethylene, ethane and the heavier hydrocarbons.

A method of preparing a porous polymer network, comprising: (a) a step of homo-coupling a monomer in the presence of 2,2' -bipyridyl, 1,5-cycloocta-1,5-diene, a mixed solvent of DMF/THF and a compound or mixture selected from the group consisting of bis(1,5-cydoocta-1,5-diene)nickel(o), Ni(PPH3) 4, and Zn/NiCI2/NaBr/PPH3 at a temperature in the range of 20 to 40°C. These stable PPNs may be useful in the context of carbon capture, gas storage and separation, and as supports for catalysts.

Systems and methods for hydrogen production with carbon capture are provided. A hydrogen containing stream can be divided so that a portion of the stream is processed for separation of C02. A hydrogen enriched stream formed during separation of C02 and another portion of the hydrogen containing stream can be processed in a cycling adsorber unit to form a hydrogen product stream. Optionally, the cycling adsorber unit can be operated to form a plurality of tail gas streams. The hydrogen containing stream can be a reformed hydrocarbon stream and/or an input stream previously exposed to a water gas shift catalyst. Optionally, a portion of the reformed hydrocarbon stream can be a reformed biocomponent stream.

A method and apparatus for providing substantially pure hydrogen gas from a mixture of hydrogen and gaseous contaminants includes passing a gaseous mixture containing hydrogen gas and gaseous impurities through a purifier (204) to form substantially pure hydrogen gas which is stored in a porous storage material including a getter material (210). The substantially pure hydrogen gas can be released from the porous storage matrix as desired. Preferably the purifier and porous storage matrix are separated by a thermally insulating matrix (208). The apparatuses can be combined in a serial configuration to provide a stream of substantially pure hydrogen gas at a substantially constant pressure.
