The present invention relates to a multi-layered anti-adhesion barrier, particularly to a multi-layered anti-adhesion barrier comprising a nanofibrous structured base layer electrospun from a hydrophobic, biodegradable, biocompatible polymer and a polymer layer formed by coating a hydrophilic, biooriginated polymer on the base layer, and a method for the preparing the same. The multi-layered anti-adhesion barrier of the present invention can solve the problems of the conventional gel, solution, sponge, film or nonwoven type anti-adhesion systems, including adhesion to tissues or organs, flexibility, physical strength, ease of handling (ease of folding and bending), etc., offers improved user convenience. With a nanofibrous structure, the multi-layered anti-adhesion barrier of the present invention effectively blocks the infiltration or migration of blood and cells and promotes the healing of wounds. It is not torn or broken when folded or rolled and can be easily handled using small surgical instruments. Thus, it can minimize a foreign body reaction when used in various surgical operations.

The present invention provides for a polymer composite foam with a treated filler and methods for making the same. The polymer composite foam includes a polymer capable of being formed into a polymeric foam and a treated filler, wherein the polymer defines a plurality of cells dispersed therethrough and the treated filler is dispersed throughout the polymer. The filler is treated by techniques which exfoliate, delaminate or intercalate the filler particles into individual micro and/or nano size particulates and platelets. Ideally, the treated filler has a median particle size ranging from about 0.1nm-10µm. The treated filler enhances the rigidity, barrier properties, heat deflection temperature, nucleation characteristics, fire retardant characteristics and impact properties of the foam. The products fabricated from the polymer composite foam include containers, cups, sleeves, bags, plates, bowls, protective packaging, boards, sheets, void fillers, storageware, dinnerware and cookware. The present invention also provides for methods of fabricating the polymer composite foam.

Zur Erleichterung des Recyclings von Kunststoggverbundmaterialen und daraus hergestellten Formkörpen wird ein sortenreines Einstoff-Verbundmaterial vorgeschlagen, das aus einem Kern aus thermoplastichem Schaumstoff und mindestens einer Verstärkungsschicht aus einem Verbund aus Fasern oder Bändern desselben thermoplastischen Kunststoffs besteht, aus dem auch der Schaumstoff besteht. Ausserdem wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung dieses sortenreinen Verbundmaterials vorgeschlagen, bei dem der Schaumstoff aus thermoplastischem Kunststoff auf eine vorgeformte Verstärkungsschicht aufgebracht und dort miteinander und mit der Verstärkungsschicht unter Zufuhr von Wärme verschweisst wird, wobei als Verstärkungsschicht ein Verbund aus mindestens zwei Lagen von Geweben, Gewirken oder Gelegen aus Fasern oder Bändern aus demselben thermoplastichem Kunststoff verwendet wird, aus dem der Schaumstoff besteht.
