Der Werkzeugsträger weist einen Grundträger (8; 108) auf, auf welchem ein Schlitten (5; 105) quer zur Spindelachse (7; 107) gesteuert verfahrbar ist und auf dem Schlitten (5; 105) zwei parallel zueinander verfahrbare Werkzeughalter (6, 6'; 107, 107') zur Halterung unterschiedlicher Werkzeuge (9, 9'; 109, 109') angeordnet sind, welche Halter (6, 6'; 107, 107') in einem Winkel von 90° zur Bewegungsrichtung des Schlittens (5; 105) selektiv zur Spindelachse (7; 107) hin bzw. von dieser weg verfahrbar sind, ferner Antriebsmittel (1, 2, 3, 3'; 100, 102, 106, 106', 103) um den Schlitten (5; 105) und die Werkzeughalter (6, 6'; 107, 107') entlang ihrer Bewegungsachsen (Y, Z) in eine vorbestimmte Arbeitsstellung zu verfahren.

An automatic lathe (10), comprising a first spindle (14) having a rotating axis (14a), a first tool post (18) capable of holding a plurality of tools (22) in parallel with each other, a second tool post (20) capable of holding the plurality of tools (22) in parallel with each other on each of first and second rows showing the blade tip directivities different from each other, and a second spindle (16) having a rotating axis (16a) in parallel with the rotating axis of the first spindle and capable of being disposed opposedly to the first spindle, all mounted collectively on a lathe frame (12), wherein the first spindle is allowed to be moved linearly along a first control shaft in parallel with the rotating axis of the first spindle, the first tool post is allowed to be moved linearly along a second control shaft crossing perpendicular to the first control shaft, the second tool post is allowed to be moved linearly along a third control shaft crossing perpendicular to the first control shaft and along a fourth control shaft in parallel with the first control shaft, and the second spindle is allowed to be moved linearly along a fifth control shaft in parallel with the third control shaft and along a six control shaft in parallel with the first control shaft, whereby a control device (106) is allowed to simultaneously perform a first machining operation related to the first spindle using a desired tool selected by the first tool post, a second machining operation related to the first spindle using a desired tool selected from the first row by the second tool post, and a third machining operation related to the second spindle using a desired tool selected from the second row by the second tool post.

The invention relates to a machine tool comprising at least one movable tool carriage (20, 90) having a plurality of supports (22, 24) for tools and/or work pieces. The aim of the invention is to simplify adjustment of such a machine tool. For this purpose, the at least one carriage comprises a plurality of separate partial carriages (26, 28) and the relative position of said partial carriages relative to one another can be adjusted and locked.

Um eine Werkzeugmaschine mit mindestens einem beweglichen Schlittten, welcher eine Mehrzahl von Haltern für Werkzeuge und/oder Werkstücke aufweist, zu schaffen, die auf einfache Weise justierbar ist, wird vorgeschlagen, dass der mindestens eine Schlitten eine Mehrzahl von getrennten Teilschlitten aufweist und dass die relative Lage der Teilschlitten zueinander feststellbar einstellbar ist.

The invention relates to a tool support, comprising a base support (8; 108), on which a carriage (5; 105) can be displaced transverse to the spindle axis (7; 107) in a controlled manner. Two tool holders (6, 6'; 107, 107'), displaceable parallel to each other and provided for holding different tools (9, 9'; 109, 109'), are arranged on said carriage (5; 105). Said holders (6, 6'; 107, 107') can be selectively displaced towards or away from the spindle axis (7; 107) at an angle of 90° in relation the displacement direction of the carriage (5; 105). Said tool support also comprises driving means (1, 2, 3, 3'; 100, 102, 106, 106', 103), for displacing said carriage (5; 105) and tool holders (6, 6'; 107, 107') along the displacement axis thereof (Y, Z) into a predetermined working position.

Der neuartige Multifunktionsträger (1) besitzt einen Grundkörper (2) mit Drehwelle (3), darauf angebrachtem Schwenkarm (4), an dessen freiem Ende ebenfalls um eine Welle (6) drehbar ein Halter für Arbeitselemente angebracht ist. Der Grundkörper (2) ist auf der Einsatzplattform zudem in einer Ebene in einem Koordinatensystem (X, Z) verfahrbar. Für die Durchführung der Bewegungen sind geeignete Motoren vorgesehen.

A cutting tool system comprising a cutting tool (1) and a tool clamping device (15) where the cutting tool (1) includes at the front end (9) at least one cutting edge (7) and to the rear of said front end a shaft portion (3) and where the tool clamping device comprises a block with an aperture (23), and where the shaft portion (3) is to be clamped in position in the aperture (23) in the tool clamping device (15). The system featuring at least one spring loaded device (30) mounted in one of the tool clamping device (15) or the envelope surface of the shaft portion (3) of the cutting tool in such a way that it can interact with a recess or recesses (29) in the other in order to provide an indication of a desired position prior to clamping by providing a sudden increase in the force necessary to displace the cutting tool from said desired position.

An apparatus is described for simultaneously forming a plurality of closely spaced, parallel grooves (11) for receiving O-rings therein and having a web between them in a thin-walled tube of an aluminium tubular coupling. The apparatus comprises means for holding said tube (20) in a fixed position during a cutting operation and a rotating cutting tool (16) for cutting said grooves (11) in said tube, the cutting tool (16) rotating about the fixed tube (20) to form the plurality of grooves (11). The cutting tool (16) comprises an insert form cutter (40) having a plurality of cutting blades (60) for cutting the grooves (11), which are separated by a predetermined distance. The insert form cutter (40) further comprises a plurality of chip relief members (66), each one of which is associated with each of the cutting blades (60) and extending across the cutting edge (54) of the insert form cutter (40). A holder (32) holds the insert form cutter (40) and includes means for preventing misalignment of the cutter (40) therein.
