摘要: Systems and methods are provided for integrated conversion of biomass to ultimately form naphtha and/or diesel boiling range products. The integrated conversion can include an initial conversion of biomass to alcohols, such as by fermentation, followed by conversion of alcohols to olefins and then olefins to naphtha, jet, and diesel boiling range compounds, with high selectivity for formation of diesel boiling range compounds. The integrated conversion process can be facilitated by using a common catalyst for both the conversion of alcohols to olefins and the conversion of olefins to naphtha and/or diesel boiling range compounds. For example, ZSM- 48 (an MRE zeotype framework structure catalyst) can be used as the catalyst for both conversion of alcohols to olefins and for oligomerization of olefins with increased selectivity for formation of diesel boiling range products.

Optionally, the feedstock can further comprise C 3n olefins/paraffins.

摘要: A process for olefin oligomerization can include: contacting a feedstock comprising at least one C3 to C20 olefin/paraffin under oligomerization conditions in the presence of a rare earth element impregnated Si/Al ZSM-23 catalyst having no amine treatment and a Si/ Ah molar ratio of 20 to 60 and/or a rare earth element impregnated Si/Al/T ZSM-23 catalyst having no amine treatment, a Si/Ah molar ratio of 20 to 60, and a Ti/Al molar ratio of 0.1 to 3; and recovering an oligomeric product comprising dimers having a branching index of less than 2.1, timers having a branching index of less than 2.1, and tetramers having a branching index of less than 2.1.

摘要: The disclosure relates to olefin oligomerization processes and related zeolites and structure directing agents. The olefin oligomerization processes can exhibit relatively high conversions. The zeolites can exhibit comparatively high stabilities. The zeolites can have relatively high ratios of external surface area to total surface area. An exemplary zeolite is a beta zeolite having a relatively high ratio of external surface area to total surface area. The disclosure also relates to structure directing agents, and methods of using the structure direction agents to prepare the zeolites.

摘要: The invention provides a method of manufacture of a catalyst, the catalyst as such and its use in olefin oligomerisationand. The method for making an oligomerisation catalyst includes the steps of mixing alumina, silica, metal oxide, a template source; and effecting the deactivation of the Bronsted sites by masking them with metal ions, preferably either (i) during synthesis by directly adding the metal as ion in a one-pot or direct synthesis, or (ii) after intermidiate conversion to the H+-form by in turn either (ii-a) impregnating the latter with a metal salt, or (ii-b) dry-mixing a metal salt with it.

摘要: A new crystalline aluminosilicate zeolite comprising a MTT framework has been synthesized that has been designated UZM-53. This zeolite is represented by the empirical formula: M + m R r Al 1-x E x Si y O z where M represents sodium, potassium or a combination of sodium and potassium cations, R is the organic structure directing agent or agents derived from reactants R1 and R2 where R1 is diisopropanolamine and R2 is a chelating diamine, and E is an element selected from the group consisting of gallium, iron, boron and mixtures thereof. Catalysts made from UZM-53 have utility in various hydrocarbon conversion reactions such as oligomerization.
