    摘要: The present disclosure relates to a process for the preparation of medetomidine, 4-[1-(2,3-Dimethylphenyl)ethyl]- 1H-imidazoIe in an environmentally favourable and commercially feasible manner. Previous methods for the preparation of medetomidine use expensive 4-substituted imidazole derivatives as starting material. A practical way of synthesis is provided in which the imidazole ring is built up during a multi-step process starting from commercially affordable, 2,3-dimethylbenzoic. Mild reaction conditions are used throughout the process.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to alkyl allyl amine monomers and their use as a polymerizate in a low VOC hair spray formulation. The hair spray formulation preferably includes a polymerizate of an alkyl allyl amine monomer, preferably an alkyl diallyl amine monomer alone or in combination with other known monomers. The hair spray formulation preferentially satisfies low VOC requirements while maintaining characteristics desired in a hair fixative product.
