Abstract:
The present invention relates to an enantiospecific process for the preparation of ( R ) and ( S ) enantiomers of sex pheromones of the long-tailed mealybug with high enantiopurity.
Abstract:
The invention concerns butenol derivatives of general formula (I), in which R1 is hydrogen or an alkyl group with 1 to 4 C-atoms and R2 is an alkyl group with 1 to 4 C-atoms, with the provision that R2 is not a methyl group if R1 is a methyl group. These compounds are odiforous substances with interesting fragrances and considerable diffusion power.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of catalytic hydrogenation and, more particularly, to the use of specific ruthenium catalysts, or pre-catalysts, in hydrogenation processes for the reduction of ketones and/or aldehydes into the corresponding alcohol respectively. Said catalysts are ruthenium complexes comprising a tetradentate ligand (L4) coordinating the ruthenium with: - two nitrogen atoms, each in the form of a primary or secondary amine (i.e. a NH 2 or NH group) or N-alkyl imine functional groups (i.e. a C=N group), and - two sulfur atoms, each in the form of thioether functional groups.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns some derivatives of the 2-ethyl-4-(2',2'-dimethyl- 3-alkyl-3'-cyclopenten-1'-yl)-4-penten-1-ol type, as defined in the description. Said compounds are very interesting perfuming ingredients due to their unusual combination 5 of sandalwood and floral notes. The present invention concerns the use of said compounds in the perfumery industry as well as the compositions or articles containing said compounds.
Abstract:
A process for the hydrogenation, using molecular hydrogen (H2), of a catalytic system, wherein the catalytic system comprises a base and a complex of formula; (II) wherein Y represents simultaneously or independently a hydrogen or halogen atom, a hydroxy group, or an alkoxy, carboxyl or other anionic radical, and N2P2 is a tetradentate diimine-diphosphino ligand.
Abstract:
The invention is in the field of fragrances and relates to novel fragrance compounds according to general formula (I) derived from campholenic aldehyde with a sandalwood-based note and improved acid stabilities. Furthermore, the present invention also relates to fragrance compositions comprising one or more of the inventive compounds. Moreover, the invention relates to the use of these compounds or fragrance compositions as an odorant or for improving the fixation of a fragrance compound or a fragrance composition as well as for the preparation of a perfumed product. In addition, the present invention thus also refers to the use of said compounds or compositions for the preparation of a perfumed products as well as perfumed products as such.
Abstract:
The synthesis and application of compounds having unique and desired flavor and/or fragrance characteristics are provided herein. The compounds herein can be employed alone or incorporated as fragrance or flavor ingredients in fragrance or flavor compositions. The application is also directed to consumer products comprising such derivatives and/or fragrance or flavor compositions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to novel compounds of general formulae (la), (lb) and (Ic) and to the stereoisomers thereof. The compounds are useful as a fragrance or as flavor as they have a sandalwood like scent. The invention also relates to a method for imparting or modifying a scent or a flavor to a composition by including said compounds into such composition, to a fragrance containing composition and/or a fragrance material containing said compound and to a process for preparing these compounds.
