Abstract:
Methods for the synthesis of methyl 2-fluoroacrylate (MFA) are provided. The methods include use of various hydrofluorination agents using a variety of starting materials and reaction schemes. The methyl 2-fluoroacrylate prepared by the methods described herein can further be used to prepare patiromer calcium sorbitex.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a novel route of synthesis of syn azide epoxide of formu 5, which is used as a common intermdeiate for asymmetric synthesis of HIV protease inhibitors such as Amprenavir, Fosamprenavir, Saquinavir and formal synthesis of Darunavir and Palinavir obtained by Cobalt- catalyzed hydrolyti kinetic resolution of racemic anti-(2SR, 3SR) - 3 -azido - 4 -phenyl - 1, 2- epoxybutane (azido-epoxide).
Abstract:
Process for the preparation of oxirane compounds, phenol and ketones and/or aldehydes, which process comprises: (i) oxidation of an alkylaryl to obtain an alkylaryl hydroperoxide, (ii) contacting at least part of the alkylaryl hydroperoxide obtained in step (i) with olefin in the presence of a catalyst to obtain an oxirane compound and alkylaryl hydroxyl, (iii) reacting at least part of the alkylaryl hydroperoxide obtained in step (i) to obtain phenol and a ketone and/or aldehyde, (iv) separating oxirane compound from reaction product of step (ii), and (v) contacting at least part of the reaction product from which an oxirane compound has been separated, with hydrogen to obtain alkylaryl at least part of which is recycled to step (i).
Abstract:
Process for the selective preparation of beta -isophorone epoxide by epoxidation of beta -isophorone with organic percarboxylic acids at a water content of less than 5 wt.%.
Abstract:
A composition useful as underfill sealant for the connection of a semiconductor device to a circuit board is reworkable for more easy separation from the semiconductor device and comprises a curable resin having at least one oxirane or thiirane linkage substituted on at least three of the oxirane or thiirane carbon atoms with an alkyl, alkenyl or aryl substituent along with a curing agent selected from anhydrides, amines, amides, imidazoles, and combinations thereof.
