摘要: Disclosed are methods and compositions for producing xylosylated steviol glycosides that include a xylose residue, or an oligosaccharide moiety including a xylose residue, attached to the 19 carbon of the steviol base. A glycosyltransferase having UDP-xylose:19-steviol xylosyltransferase activity (such as one of SEQ ID NO:1 or a homolog or variant thereof) forms the xylosylated steviol glycoside using a steviol glycoside acceptor having a glucose residue attached to the 19 carbon of the steviol base. Glycosyltransferase variants with increased activity are also described.

摘要: 本发明公开了一种高值化甜菊糖母液糖的方法,属于天然化合物的改性和提取领域。本发明采用乳糖酶来高度专一性催化水解斯替夫苷,使斯替夫苷转化为通常只能从甜茶叶中获得的甜茶苷;同时,将母液糖中的斯替夫苷转化后,由于甜茶苷和莱鲍迪苷A的极性差异远远超过斯替夫苷和莱鲍迪苷A的极性差异,从而更易于从母液糖中分离莱鲍迪苷A。本发明提供的技术同样适用于含有斯替夫苷的混合甜菊糖苷的高值化,并有助于从中分离莱鲍迪苷A。

摘要: In various aspects and embodiments, the invention provides microbial cells and methods for producing advanced glycosylation products from lower glycosylated intermediates. The microbial cell expresses one or more UDP-dependent glycosyl transferase enzymes in the cytoplasm, for glycosylation of the intermediates. When incubating the microbial strain with a plant extract or fraction thereof comprising the intermediates, these glycosylated intermediates are available for further glycosylation by the cell, and the advanced glycosylation products can be recovered from the media and/or microbial cells.
