摘要: The invention relates to a method for determining the optimal renewable energy production mix for a specific geographic location via simulation, comprising the steps of: - Collecting renewable energy resource data for the specific geographic location over a predetermined time period, wherein the renewable energy resource data comprises data such as wind speed and direction, significant wave height and incoming wave direction, solar hours, solar irradiation, heat and/or pressure of geothermal wells or any other relevant renewable energy resource data; - Calculating power curves and matrices for at least two renewable energy technologies based on the collected renewable energy resource data; - Estimating the potential of generated electric power over time of the at least two renewable energy technologies based on the calculated power curves and matrices, the time period and the characteristic parameters of each of the at least two renewable energy technologies; and - Simulating different base load and power variations based on the estimation of the potential generated electric power and different distribution of the electric power generation of the at least two renewable energy technologies; - Identifying an optimal distribution of the at least two renewable energy technologies by analysing the base load and power variations for each simulation and choosing the distribution of the electric power generation with the highest base load and lowest power variation.

摘要: A method for identifying report triggering events in a power grid to improve stability in the power grid is provided. Energy flow information in the power grid is measured and report triggering events during a predetermined period of time are identified. The report triggering events include at least a predetermined number of load flow transitions where energy flows back from a load associated with the power grid to the power grid during the predetermined period of time and/or exceeding a threshold of time where an energy flow phase angle between voltage and current remains at or near 90 or 270 degrees indicating pure volt-ampere reactive (VAR) operation during the predetermined period of time. A report associated with each of the identified report triggering events is generated and includes a location indicating where the report triggering event occurred in the power grid. The reports are transmitted.

摘要: An electronic device includes an AI power controller that predicts future load transients within a system and that dynamically alters power settings in anticipation of the predicted future load transients. To predict load transients, the AI power controller receives as an input application signature data from an application executing on the device. The application signature data includes at least media frame data generated by the application during a time interval. The AI power controller executes logic to compare the received application signature data to historical application signature data, where the historical application signature data includes media frame data generated by the application during one or more past execution instances of the application. Based on the comparison, the AI power controller predicts a load transient of the application at a future point in time and dynamically adjusts a power control setting of the device in anticipation of the predicted load transient.

One or more trained machine learning models configured to discover target device energy usage from source location energy usage can be stored. Multiple instances of source location energy usage over a period of time can be received for a given source location. Using the trained machine learning model, multiple discovery predictions for the received instances of source location energy usage can be generated, the discovery predictions comprising a prediction about a presence of target device energy usage within the instances of source location energy usage. And based on the multiple discovery predictions, an overall prediction about a presence of target device energy usage within the given source location's energy usage over the period of time can be generated.

In this approach, which is sometimes referred to herein as intelligent demand optimization, the optimized capacity needs of each subsystem are assessed in real-time, along with the available capacity of the meter and the current billing period peak. Power is then distributed dynamically to each subsystem to reduce the overall peak.
