Abstract: A system and method for optimizing access points (APs) within a network comprises receiving, at a first AP, parameters corresponding to a second AP, and determining that the first AP and the second AP are part a first and a second wireless local area network (WLAN), respectively. The first and second WLANs support client credential sharing allowing seamlessly transitioning of a client device between the first and second WLANs using common credentials, Further, co-channel interference between the first AP and the second AP is detected based on the parameters corresponding to the second AP and parameters of the first AP, and at least one of a channel and transmission power of one or more of the first AP and the second AP is changed in response to the detection of the interference.

A user equipment (UE) that is configured with two sets of power control parameters may be signaled (e.g., via downlink control information (DCI)) as to which set of parameters to use for determining the transmission power on a sidelink channel. The UE may determine a transmit power for a sidelink message based on the indication included in the DCI. The base station may transmit the indication based on whether uplink or downlink communications are scheduled on resources that may overlap with resources used for transmission of the sidelink message.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may reduce a transmission power of a scheduled downlink message relative to an expected transmission power of the scheduled downlink message in response to determining that the scheduled downlink message will cause at least a threshold level of interference with a concurrently scheduled uplink message. The base station may transmit the scheduled downlink message to a user equipment (UE) using the reduced transmission power and may transmit, to the UE an indication of a power adjustment for a downlink measurement of the scheduled downlink message. The UE may receive the indication after receiving the scheduled downlink message and may adjust the downlink measurement in accordance with the indication of the power adjustment.
