The toughness modifier for a curable resin (D) is obtained by emulsion-polymerizing 5 to 50% by mass of a vinyl monomer (B) in the presence of 50 to 95% by mass of a rubber polymer (A) latex (calculated as the rubber polymer component) using 0.5 to 15 parts by mass of a nonionic reactive surfactant (C) (relative to 100 parts by mass of a total of (A) and (B)).

Such a power storage device is structured to have a secondary battery and a charging device; the secondary battery is structured to have a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte disposed between the positive and negative electrodes; in the secondary battery, metal ions are movable between the positive and negative electrodes through the nonaqueous electrolyte, and the positive and negative electrodes are charged/discharged when insertion/extraction reactions of the metal ions are carried out through the nonaqueous electrolyte; the positive and negative electrodes each contain an active-material layer with an average thickness of 0.3 mm or greater; the charging device is electrically connected to the secondary battery, and charges the secondary battery only at a constant current; and when the secondary battery is charged to its end-of-charge voltage by the charging device, its capacity is set to be 80% to 97% of the design capacity calculated from the inherent capacity per unit weight of the positive and negative electrodes.

The objective of the present invention is to provide an immunoglobulin κ chain variable region-binding peptide of which acid dissociation pH of an immunoglobulin κ chain variable region-containing protein is shifted closer to neutrality than that before introducing the mutation, an affinity separation matrix containing the peptide as a ligand, and a method for producing an immunoglobulin κ chain variable region-containing protein by using the affinity separation matrix. Also the objective of the present invention is to provide a DNA encoding the peptide, a vector containing the DNA, and a transformant which is transformed by the vector. The problems are solved by using a peptide as an affinity ligand, prepared by introducing a mutation in an appropriate position of a κ chain variable region-binding domain of Protein L derived from Peptostreptococcus magnus strain.

An object of the invention is to yield a highly transparent cured article wherein bubbles are less generated when a catalyst and others are added to a curable composition that contains an organic polymer having a silicon-containing group which can be crosslinked by the formation of a siloxane bond and then the resultant mixture is stirred. Another object thereof is to provide a cured article which is small in surface stickiness, slightly gets dirty over a long term, and has a practical adhesiveness. These objects are attained by a curable composition which comprises (A) an organic polymer having a silicon-containing group that can be crosslinked by the formation of a siloxane bond, (B) a bivalent tin carboxylate and (C) an amine compound having no reactive silicon group, and which turns transparent when cured; or a transparent cured article obtained by curing the composition.

The present invention aims to develop an aqueous heat-shielding coating material to which low staining properties are imparted to suppress a reduction in heat-shielding properties due to the reduction in solar reflectance caused by adhesion of contaminants in the air during outdoor exposure, thereby maintaining the heat-shielding properties for a long period of time. The above problem is solved by providing a resin composition for an aqueous coating material including: (A1) a water-soluble and/or water-dispersible resin; (A2) a heat-shielding pigment; (B1) an organosilicate and/or a modified product of the organosilicate; and (B2) a curing catalyst that promotes a hydrolysis/condensation reaction of an alkoxysilyl group.
