The welding material includes at least one welding material member constructed of an electrically conductive metallic welding material capable of melting when heated by application of an electrical current. Each welding material member is mounted on the exterior surface of the first weldable member and then positioned between the exterior surfaces of the first and second weldable members to be electrically conductively disposed therebetween.

Disclosed are a method for joining two or several metal sheets or profiled parts, particularly of a vehicle body segment, and a vehicle body segment. Said method for joining two or several metal sheets or profiled parts, one of which is typically made of a higher-strength steel, comprises the following steps: a) the metal sheets or profiled parts are mechanically connected in a positive and/or non-positive manner at one or several junctions, whereupon b) the junctions are thermally joined using pressure welding. The inventive method makes it possible to produce body segments that are provided with top quality spot-welded joints, especially in the motor vehicle sector.

The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for marking an object, particularly a vehicle, by disrupting the material of the interior or surface of the object. The system comprises a laser emitter (102), a laser beam delivery means (104) which can be flexible, and a marking heading (105) which is light enough to be carried by an operator. The laser marking system is very flexible in use, allowing many parts of objects, particularly vehicles, to be marked.
