摘要:
摘要:
A method for folding a fastener during a high speed manufacturing process and maintaining the fastener in a folded configuration throughout the high speed manufacturing process. The method includes obtaining an article that has a foldable fastener and moving the article in the machine direction during the high speed manufacturing process. The foldable fastener has first and second opposing surfaces, a web and at least one engaging member joined to the web. The method includes applying a frangible bonding agent to a first portion of the first surface of the fastening system; folding the fastening system such that the frangible bonding agent contacts a second portion of the first surface of the fastening system; and allowing the frangible bonding agent to cool at a temperature of less than 60° C.

Herein are disclosed apparatus and methods for impinging heated fluids onto the surfaces of substrates to heat the surfaces of the substrates so as to facilitate melt-bonding the substrates to each other to form a laminate. Also are disclosed are laminates in which a fibrous web is bonded to a substrate in a surface-bonded manner and/or is bonded in a loft-retaining manner. The substrate may comprise protrusions on the surface of the substrate opposite the surface that is bonded to the fibrous web.

An inflatable, conformable, cushioning, packaging product (11) comprises a plurality of individual inflatable strips (21) of multiple bubble cushioning structures. Each individual inflatable strip (21) has a plurality of bubble chambers (23) with each bubble chamber (23) interconnected to an adjacent bubble chamber (23) by an interconnecting passageways (25) which is smaller in size and internal volume than the bubble chambers (23), but which is sufficiently large to enable air volume and pressure in one inflated bubble chamber (23) to be transmitted to adjacent bubble chambers (23) for distributing a shock load on one bubble chamber (23) along the entire length of the individual inflatable strip (21) of interconnected bubble chambers (23). Each individual inflatable strip (21) is defined between two laterally extending spaced apart peripheral seal lines (43) which have an undulating configuration free of corner shapes which could concentrated stresses.

Accuracy and speed in continuous manufacture of liquid crystal display elements are improved to fundamentally solve problems in improvement of yield. The method for continuously manufacturing liquid crystal elements has a step in which cutting positions of a failure sheet piece and a normal sheet piece are defined based on the positions of defects detected in a pre-inspection, on a continuous web of an optical film; and a step of pasting, on a liquid crystal panel, a sheet piece of a polarization film formed in a size according to the liquid crystal panel from the continuous web recording cutting position information relating to the cutting positions as encoded information. In the method and apparatus for continuously manufacturing liquid crystal elements, length measurement data are calculated from the supply amount of the continuous web, the encoded information recorded on the continuous web is read, cutting lines are formed on the continuous web along the cutting positions from the opposite side of a carrier film based on the encoded information and the length measurement data, a sheet piece of the polarization film formed between the cutting lines is judged whether the sheet piece is normal or not, the sheet piece judged normal is peeled from the carrier film and forwarded to a pasting station, and the normal sheet piece is pasted on the liquid crystal panel supplied to the pasting station.

A carrier assembly for temporary accommodation of one or more solar cell laminates while the solar laminates are conveyed through a lamination plant. The solar cell laminate comprises a solar cell layer of silicon material, an upper and a lower encapsulating layer of EVA material covering the top and bottom of the solar cell layer, an upper and lower protective layer covering the upper and lower encapsulating layer, respectively. The encapsulating layer has a specific melting temperature and a specific curing temperature; the melting temperature is lower than the curing temperature. The carrier assembly comprises a carrier housing of heat conductive material which defines an inner volume, the carrier housing has an upper plate adapted to receive the solar cell laminate and an opposite lower plate which defines a first plurality of apertures the inner volume includes one or more connecting elements which interconnect the first and second plates The carrier further comprises an air supply system to provide a continuous outward air flow through the first plurality of apertures when the lower plate is received on a conveying surface of the lamination plant the airflow yields an elevated and substantially balanced air pressure on the lower plate to provide lift or buoyancy to the carrier housing and allows a substantially friction-free movement of the carrier housing in relation to the conveying surface of the lamination plant. The carrier further comprises a thermal transfer system which provides thermal energy to the upper plate to allow the encapsulating layer to melt and subsequently cure and preferably is adapted to provide a temperature on the upper plate of 80-130°C.
摘要:
Provided is an optical film laminate with cutting lines for increasing the precision and speed in the manufacture of liquid crystal elements and drastically improving the yield. The optical film laminate with a continuous web of cutting lines is assumed to be used in an apparatus which continuously manufactures liquid crystal display elements affixed with a sheet of optical functional film. The optical film laminate is divided in the lengthwise direction based on the positions of detected defects and is composed of regions which do not include defects having the specified lengths corresponding to the dimensions of the liquid crystal panel and regions which include defects having different specified lengths than the region not including defects. In the optical film laminate which includes an optical functional film including an adhesive layer and a carrier film which can be peeled off and is deposited on the adhesive layer, a normal sheet which does not include defects in the carrier film and a bad sheet which includes defects are formed by forming cutting lines corresponding to each of the above regions along the width direction of the optical film laminate.
