An absolute vector gravimeter and method of use is provided. The absolute vector gravimeter includes one or more single axis accelerometers, each capable of pointing in at least two directions and calculating an estimated gravity component. Further embodiments provide for estimating a bias in the single axis accelerometer, as well as measuring non-ballistic accelerations along multiple axes and calculating estimated gravity components for each. A resultant non-ballistic acceleration vector can be calculated. Examples for reducing the RMS error in the estimated gravity components are also provided.

A receiver receives the first received signal and the second received signal, the first received signal includes the first reflected signal having traveled through the material and the second received signal includes the second reflected signal having traveled through the material. The first reflected signal and the second reflected signal providing an indication of at least one property of the material. The at least one property includes permittivity, attenuation, anisotropy, and frequency dependency of the material.

A moving coil drive unit for exciting a resonant member into a vibrational state is disclosed. The moving coil drive unit comprises a magnet assembly and a coil assembly comprising a voice coil arranged concentrically with the magnet assembly and configured such that the voice coil is moveable axially relative to the magnet assembly in use. The magnet assembly comprises a permanent magnet and one or more pole pieces. The magnet assembly is configured to provide an annular magnetic gap, the voice coil being suspended therein. The pole piece is configured to have a laminated structure comprising at least two spaced layers. The pole piece may include at least three spaced layers, preferably at least four layers. One or more of the layers of the pole piece may be shaped, in at least an region thereof surrounding the magnetic gap, so as to generally follow and guide the magnetic field lines emanating from the permanent magnet. A distributed mode vibrating panel loudspeaker comprising the moving coil drive unit arranged as an exciter is also disclosed. The distributed mode vibrating panel loudspeaker comprises a resonant member to be vibrationally excited in use and a backing frame supporting the resonant member. The exciter is supported by the backing frame and the coil assembly is mechanically coupled to the resonant member to be vibrationally excited in use.

Embodiments of a MU-MIMO access point, user station and method for multi-user group management are generally described herein. In some embodiments, a MU-MIMO access point may assign a MU group identifier (GID) and a group member index (GMI) to each of a plurality of associated user stations. The MU-MIMO access point may transmit a MU-MIMO transmission that includes a plurality of spatial streams. The MU-MIMO transmission may be destined for the user stations of a single MU group indicated by a GID that is included within the MU-MIMO transmission. A subset of the spatial streams may be intended for each user station of the indicated MU group that is identified by the GID transmitted within the MU-MIMO transmission. A user station may use its assigned GMI along with an N sts field in the MU-MIMO transmission to determine which of the spatial streams to demodulate.
