Abstract:
[Problem to be Solved] The present invention provides a method of producing an acerola dry powder for obtaining the acerola dry powder with a high yield. [Solution to Problem] In the production of an acerola dry powder, acerola juice as a raw material and an alkaline agent containing magnesium oxide are mixed.
Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a porous material, wherein porosity can be controlled to 50% or higher by means of a freezing method, pore size can be controlled to 10 µm to 300 µm, and pore diameter distribution is uniform. The method is a method for producing a porous material, comprising freezing a mixture of water and a raw material comprising at least any of a ceramic material, a resin, a metal, and precursors thereof from a specific portion of the mixture to use ice crystals produced at the time as a pore source and then heat-treating a dry material obtained by removing the ice from the frozen material, wherein the mixture of a raw material and water or the frozen material comprises an antifreeze protein.
Abstract:
A bacterial growth inhibitor or bacteriostatic agent for simultaneously thermophilic and acidophilic bacteria (TAB: ThermoAcidophilic Bacilli), such as bacteria belonging to the genus Alicyclobacillus, especially guaiacol formation capability having Alicyclobacillus acidoterrestris, Alicyclobacillus acidiphilus and Alicyclobacillus herbarius, which bacterial growth inhibitor or bacteriostatic agent is derived from natural products and is facile in procurement, preparation and handling. There is provided a bacterial growth inhibitor or bacteriostatic agent for bacteria belonging to the genus Alicyclobacillus, which comprises acerola fruit juice as an effective ingredient.
Abstract:
An antifreeze protein is added to a hydrous material when the hydrous material contains water molecules and a substance other than water molecules, and freeze concentration of the substance should be inhibited; when the hydrous material contains a bioactive substance and inactivation of the bioactive substance should be inhibited; or when the hydrous material contains water molecules and a component other than the water molecules, and a frozen product or freeze-dried product in which the component is homogeneously dispersed should be produced.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of increasing the thermal hysteresis activity exhibited by a composition containing an antifreeze protein and water, wherein the method includes incorporating the antifreeze protein and any one or more substances selected from the following additive group A into the water. According to the present invention, the method of further increasing the thermal hysteresis activity inherently possessed by an antifreeze protein can be provided. Additive group A: an organic acid, an organic acid salt, an inorganic salt, an amino acid, an amino acid salt, an ammonium salt, a sugar, a sugar alcohol, urea, guanidine hydrochloride, spermidine, spermine, and N,N-dimethylformamide.

Abstract:
To produce high-performance specific gene amplification primers for detecting, quantifying, or identifying Vibrio cholerae and Vibrio mimicus, having low risk of misidentification and practically sufficient amplification efficiency and amplification specificity. We have determined partial nucleotide sequences of rpoD and gyrB genes of Vibrio cholerae, Vibrio mimicus, and closely related species, revealed their phylogenetic relationship, and then identified nucleotides characteristic of Vibrio cholerae and Vibrio mimicus, respectively. Thus, we have made it possible to design probes having high specificity and gene amplification primers having high specificity and excellent amplification efficiency, both of which contain the characteristic nucleotides.
Abstract:
The object of the invention is to provide a DNA amplification method with which single-strand DNA of a desired direction and a desired region can be prepared simply and efficiently. The invention provides a DNA amplification method that uses DNA as a template, wherein the DNA amplification method uses a first primer that is complementary to the 3' end side of a target base sequence, a second primer that has a base sequence that is homologous to the 5' end side of that target base sequence, and a third primer that has, on its 3' end side, a base sequence that is homologous to part of the base sequence on the 5' end side of the second primer or the first primer, and a melting temperature Tm 1 of the first primer, a melting temperature Tm 2 of the second primer, and a melting temperature Tm 3 of the third primer have the relationship expressed by the following expression: Tm 1 Tm 2 and Tm 2 Tm 3 and wherein the DNA amplification method includes a first process of performing a PCR cycle at an annealing temperature Ta (where Ta≤Tm 1 and Ta≤Tm 2 ), and a second process of performing a PCR cycle at an annealing temperature Tb (where Tm 1 2 3 ).
