摘要:
The present invention relates to a device for uses in scanning probe microscopy and to a method for manufacturing same. The metallic device comprises a single body (1) with two parts (2) and (3), wherein the second part (3) has a submicrometric point (4) that defines a nanoscale apex (7). The present invention also provides a method for manufacturing a high optical efficiency probe for scanning probe microscopy.

The present invention relates to novel derivatives of hydrophilic bioactive peptides which have been modified by introducing a lipophilic substituent through esterification of the free carboxylic group(s) of the peptide with an aliphatic alcohol. The present invention also refers to a simple, fast and effective process for the preparation of amphiphilic derivatives of peptides. It also refers to pharmaceutical compositions for the controlled release and delivery of these pharmacologically active peptides.

The present invention relates to a synthetic peptide of 19 amino acids, called PnTx(19), constituted from the sequence of the native toxin PnTx2-6 of the Phoneutria nigriventer spider. It also relates to pharmaceutical compositions containing such a peptide and to the use thereof in the treatment of erectile dysfunction and/or in potentiating the erectile function.

The present invention deals with a device capable of cauterizing tissues, especially of the liver. The electrocautery device can reach variable depths for cauterization, through its elongated stems (5). To improve the cauterizing capacity of the device, it uses an ionic solution that passes through a tube (6), inside the handle (2) of the device, which results in a significant reduction of the surgical time and of the perioperative bleeding. Despite being invasive, the invention proposed here did not alter significantly the hepatic transaminase levels which correspond to the preservation of the hepatic tissue adjacent to the area of the removal of the liver.

The present invention describes a standardized extract obtained from the leaves of Hancornia speciosa Gomes (EHS), popularly known as "mangaba" in Brazil, as well as a standardized fraction with inhibiting activity on the angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE), and vasodilating, anti-hypertensive and antioxidant properties. The invention further relates to the preparation of pharmaceutical compositions that contain said extract or fractions derived from the extract of Hancornia speciosa Gomes leaves rich in cyclitols and flavonoids, as well as the use of same for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases such as arterial hypertension, atherosclerosis, stenosis, and non-limiting cardiac or cerebral ischaemia.

The present invention concerns a vacuum pressure control and monitoring device for aspiration of biological secretions from respiratory routes, as well as of other biological fluids. The proposed device consists of a vacuum pressure regulating valve integrated to a monitoring system, which can be coupled together a hospital vacuum network and portable aspiration apparatus in ambulatory and household environments. The said device is designed to control and monitor maximum vacuum aspiration pressures, in this way preventing injuries during aspiration procedures.

A method and device for remotely measuring, monitoring and controlling physical quantities over digital communication networks is provided. The measured quantities are grouped by energy end-uses or type of energy produced. The present patent describes the hardware and software used to perform these measurements, monitoring and control actions. The method and associated devices provide the means to sub-divide the building energy consumption by its end-uses or into cost centers, so as to determine the “specific energy consumption” of each cost center, in terms of kWh/produced unit, kWh/m2, kWh/employee, for example. The system comprises four hierarchically interconnected layers. The first layer includes all the equipments and technologies involved in data acquisition (or actuation) in the monitored building. The second layer contains the equipments and the software for grouping the measurements gathered at each sampling instant by their end-use consumption or type of energy produced, which are responsible for storing the acquired data and sending them to a remote database server, via the Internet. The third layer is responsible for the authentication of each connection to the database server coming from the Web-Servers of the monitored buildings. The fourth layer incorporates the equipments and associated functions responsible for the reception, processing and storage of the data coming from all the monitored loads and for the control of the on-line access to these data (given to users with special privileges). The stored data are analyzed and processed by an application program in order to extract from them the relevant information.

Preparation of AT1 receptors antagonists formulations using the cyclodextrins, their derivatives and/or biodegradable polymers for the treatment of arterial hypertension, other cardiovascular disease and their complications. Until now, no applications using the AT11 receptor antagonists and cyclodextrins or derivatives and/or biodegradable polymers for the treatment of arterial hypertension, other cardiovascular diseases and their complications, was found in the technical state of art. The present invention is characterized by the combination of two different technologies: one is the molecular encapsulation of AT11 receptor antagonists in cyclodextrins and the other is the microencapsulation in biodegradable polymers. It also comprises the increase of the effectiveness of the AT11 receptor antagonists as well as an increase in their bio-availability. The present invention comprises a new more effective alternative for the treatment of arterial hypertension, other cardiovascular diseases and their complications.
