An alternative embodiment provides for the transportation of dialysis liquid through the dialysis liquid chamber of the dialyzer during the predefined time interval at a dialysis liquid rate which is lower than the dialysis liquid rate at which the dialysis liquid is transported after the expiry of the predefined time interval.
