摘要:
An automatic clutch control system, for use in automobiles, using a microcomputer, including an accelerator pedal sensor for detecting accelerator position; an engine speed sensor for detecting engine speed; a clutch stroke sensor for detecting clutch stroke; an automobile speed sensor for detecting automobile speed; and a controller for controlling opening or closing of solenoid valves, gear change of a transmission, and opening or closing of a throttle actuator in accordance with predetermined stored data and signals transmitted from the sensors. The automatic clutch control system consequently can automatically control the clutch moving time and clutch moving speed for easy driving under all driving conditions. Moreover, while the clutch control system is automatic, it can use dry-type single-plate clutches and sliding-mesh-type transmissions as employed in manual and semiautomatic transmissions.

In a method of electronically controlling a vehicle when a transmission is shifted into the reverse gear position, a clutch is disengaged followed by switching the transmission to a neutral position. With the clutch in the disengaged state, the transmission is then temporarily switched to a gear position having a synchromesh mechanism, whereby a disk cluch pressing against a pressure plate or flywheel is separated from the same. After the clutch is completely disengaged, the transmission is switched to the reverse gear position. In this way, easy engagement of reverse gear can be achieved without requiring synchromesh to be fitted to the reverse gear.

A clutch control arrangement (1) designed to prevent unintentional starting of a vehicle while a clutch-stroke-position learning is being performed. The clutch control arrangement (1) includes a mechanism (2,7,35,62,64,68,70,72,73,78,79,80,a) for automatically disengaging and engaging a clutch (8). The vehicle has a manual transmission (76) of which gear position (shift position) is changed as a driver operates a shift lever (95). The clutch control arrangement (1) further includes a learning unit for learning a stroke position of the clutch (8), and a unit (72) for interrupting the operation of the learning unit when the shift lever (95) is operated toward a transmission gear engaged position during the clutch-stroke-position learning. Preferably, the automatic disengagement and engagement mechanism automatically disengages or engages the clutch (8) depending upon a gear engaged condition of the manual transmission (76) after interrupting the clutch-stroke-position learning. The clutch (8) is maintained in a disengaged condition until a clutch pedal (9) is stamped after the automatic clutch disengagement.

The clutch disconnection/connection device of the present invention includes manual disconnection/connection means (2, 7, 7a, 10, 20, 54, b ) for manually disconnecting/connecting a clutch(8) by operation of a clutch pedal(9), and automatic disconnection/connection means (2, 7, 72, 78, 79, a ) for automatically disconnecting/connecting the clutch(8) by controllably supplying air pressure to or discharging the air pressure from a clutch booster(7). The clutch disconnection/connection device further includes a clutch pedal stroke sensor(89) for detecting magnitude of clutch pedal stroke(CPS), a clutch stroke sensor(88) for detecting magnitude of clutch stroke(CS), and a controller(72) for, based on output signals from the clutch pedal stroke sensor(89) and the clutch stroke sensor(88), when the clutch pedal(9) is pressed during automatic disconnection/connection operation in such a degree as corresponding to the actual clutch stroke(CS) state or thrusting the clutch(8) to a more disconnected state, discontinuing the automatic disconnection/connection operation and initiating the manual disconnection/connection operation.

An electronically controlled vehicle transmission has a gear shifting operation which is controlled by determining an optimum transmission gear based on shift map data stored in an electronic control device, a detected vehicle speed and a detected degree of depression and speed of movement of an accelerator pedal. If the accelerator pedal is abruptly depressed while the vehicle is running, such an abrupt depression is detected by a pedal speed detector which produces a signal to cause an electronic control device to interrupt the gear shifting operation. The electronic control device starts the gear shifting operation again after the accelerator pedal depression is stabilized.
摘要:
A vehicle transmission system has an internal lever for changing transmission gears, a select actuator (710) for moving the internal gear to neutral positions (N1, N2, N3) in first direction, a shift actuator (720) for moving the internal lever to ist - 5th gear positions and a reverse position in second direction substantially normal to the first direction, and a clutch actuator (330) for actuating a clutch. While any one of the select actuator or the shift actuator is in operation, the pressure of a fluid discharged from the operating actuator is prevented from acting on the select actuator and/or the shift actuator which is not in operation by applying a fluid pressure to the inoperative select actuator or the shift actuator to fix the actuator in a current position against operation, thereby allowing the transmission gears to be changed accurately and smoothly.
