摘要:
A method of assembling a mobile bearing acetabular component of a prosthetic hip joint is disclosed. The method includes mounting an acetabular cup insert to an acetabular cup. The method includes concurrently repositioning the acetabular cup insert deeper into an interior of the acetabular cup and repositioning the acetabular cup insert outside of an outline of the acetabular cup.

The present invention provides a uni-compartmental knee joint prosthesis (1) which includes a tibial component (2) and a femoral component (3). The tibial component (2) has a fixation portion (10) adapted to be fixed to an upper end of a prepared tibia (T) in a patient, and a bearing portion (30) presenting an articulation surface (32) formed from a ceramic material, wherein the bearing portion (30) is adapted for movement relative to the fixation portion (10). The femoral component (3) is adapted to be fixed to a lower end of a prepared femur (F) in a patient, and comprises a body portion (50) presenting an articulation surface (56) formed from a ceramic material for engagement with the articulation surface (32) of the tibial component (2). The articulation surfaces (32, 56) of the tibial and femoral components are adapted for essentially congruent engagement over a full range of movement of the prosthesis. The invention also provides a method of producing such a finished ceramic uni-compartmental knee joint prosthesis (1).

Provided are devices, systems and methods related to articulating interbody cages. The device includes a caudal plate configured to be positioned adjacent a first vertebral endplate within an intervertebral disc space, a cephalad plate configured to be positioned adjacent a second vertebral endplate within the intervertebral disc space; and a first and second sidewall each rotatably coupled to both the caudal and cephalad plates. At least one of the first and second sidewalls includes a hinge element restricted from achieving an on-center or over-center rotational position around the hinge element upon dimensional expansion of the device in at least a first dimension.

An intervertebral implant is provided. The intervertebral implant comprises a first component comprising an outer tissue engaging surface and an inner surface. A second component is connected to the first component, and is relatively moveable thereform. The second component comprises an outer tissue engaging surface and an inner surface. The second component includes an actuator. A third component is disposed for engagement and is movable relative to the first and second components. The third component comprises at least a first ramp and a second ramp axially spaced apart from the first ramp. The actuator is engageable with the third component to effect axial translation of the wedge such that the ramps engage the inner surface of at least one of the first component and the second component to move the components between a first, collapsed configuration and a second, expanded configuration. Methods of use are disclosed.
摘要:
The present disclosure generally relates to an intervertebral disc prosthesis for partially or totally replacing an organic intervertebral disc. The disc prosthesis includes an interbody device, a face plate and a pair of locking mechanisms for achieving dual fixation in the cephalad and caudal direction. Methods according to the present disclosure achieve such dual fixation in a single fixation step.
摘要:
According to some embodiments, a method of accessing an intervertebral space of a patient's spine in a minimally invasive manner compromises creating a passage from a posterior end of a pedicle of a vertebral member using a probe, advancing the probe through the pedicle and to a main body portion of the vertebral member, advancing the probe through a superior endplate of the vertebral member and into the intervertebral space and enlarging the passage using at least one tap to create an enlarged passage from a posterior of the pedicle to the intervertebral space. In some embodiments, the enlarged passage traverses at least three cortical layers of the vertebral member.
