The first component is permitted to set so that the second mould cavity (12, 13) is partly defined by the first, set component, before the second component is injected. Before the second component is injected, the temperature of the first component has been measured and transmitted to a control system for controlling the injection of the second component. Thereafter, the second component is permitted to set, and the composite body is removed from the mould. An apparatus for manufacturing a composite body from metal and plastic comprises a die casting machine (1) with a tool (5, 6) and a control system for controlling a work cycle. Further, the apparatus includes an injection device (16) for the injection of plastic into the tool (5, 6), the injection device (16) being controlled by the control system.

A composite component (1) made of plastic material (2) and electrically conductive filler material (9) is produced according to the method (S1-S3). The invention can be used in particular on a lighting device, which comprises at least one plastic/metal composite component (1) in particular.
