A multilayered polymer pipe and a method of welding two or more multi-layered pipes to form a pipeline. The polymer pipe comprises a first weldable tubular layer forming the core of the pipe, the first layer comprising essentially non-polar polymer material; a second layer at least partially surrounding the first layer and spaced apart from it, the second layer comprising essentially polar polymer material; and a third layer fitted between the first layer and the second layer, the third layer being adhered to the first layer and to the second layer so as to interconnect said layers. The third layer comprises a polymer material having an adhesion strength to the second layer which is greater than its adhesion strength to the first layer. By means of the invention, the barrier layer can be peeled off manually to expose the pipe and allow for its welding by conventional polymer welding techniques.

The resin-rich peel ply is composed of a woven fabric impregnated with a resin matrix different from the resin matrix of the composite substrate. The peel ply is designed such that, upon manual removal of the peel ply from the composite substrate's surface, a thin film of the peel ply resin remains on the composite substrate's surface to create a bondable surface capable of bonding with another composite substrate, but no fibrous material from the woven fabric remains on the same surface.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Verwalzen von Objekten (3) wie zum Beispiel Kaffeebohnen, Münzen oder Kristalle zwischen zwei Platten (1,2) aus durchsichtigem Kunststoff, insbesondere Polymethylmetacrylat, welches als Plexiglas im Handel erhältlich ist. Dabei werden die Platten (1,2) vor dem Verwalzen auf eine Metallplatte aufgelegt und von oben erhitzt. Die Metallplatte dient dabei dazu, die Temperatur auf einer Seite der Platten gering zu halten. Auf der Oberseite werden die Platten bis auf eine Temperatur erhitzt, bei der die Kunststoffplatten erweichen. Schon vor dem Erhitzen oder ggf. auch danach werden auf die Oberfläche Objekte (3) ggf. mit geringem Handdruck eingelegt oder in vorgefertigte Ausnehmungen gesetzt und eine zweite Kunststoffplatte, welche im gleichen Verfahren erhitzt wurde, aufgelegt. Beide Platten (1,2) werden sodann zwischen einem Walzenpaar (18,19) zusammengedrückt, wobei darauf zu achten ist, dass die Oberflächen der Kunststoffplatten warm genug ist. Der Kunststoff sollte so weich sein, dass während des Verwalzens die Objekte (3) vollständig umschlossen werden und keine Einschlüsse an den Rändern der Objekte entstehen.
