Magnetizing the intermetallic compound will confer to the finished lubricating oil when applied to a solid body, the ability of forming a magnetic film on the external surface of a solid body, and in so doing will confer to the additive a greater capacity to reduce friction, thus minimizing the effects of wear caused by contact between the surfaces of bodies of several dynamic systems.

The coating compositions are devoid of volatile organic solvents and can be applied on surfaces using thermal spraying, compression molding and other particle sintering approaches. A multilayer architecture consisting of an adhesive bottom layer and a non-adhesive, low friction top layer is disclosed. The coating can be used in oil and gas production and seawater injection.

A hard and brittle material is cut by a cutting device using the aqueous cutting agent. The present invention provides an aqueous cutting agent which is excellent in dispersion stability of the abrasive grain and viscosity stability during cutting/cutting operations, aqueous cutting liquid usable for the aqueous cutting agent, and a cutting/cutting method excellent in cutting performance, cleanability and the like of the work material on cutting/cutting hard and brittle material by using the cutting agent.
