This invention relates to enzymes and methods for producing the same. More specifically this invention relates to a variety of fungal enzymes. Nucleic acid molecules encoding such enzymes, compositions, recombinant and genetically modified host cells, and methods of use are described. The invention also relates to a method to convert lignocellulosic biomass to fermentable sugars with enzymes that degrade the lignocellulosic material and novel combinations of enzymes, including those that provide a synergistic release of sugars from plant biomass. The invention also relates to methods to use the novel enzymes and compositions of such enzymes in a variety of other processes, including washing of clothing, detergent processes, deinking and biobleaching of paper and pulp, and treatment of waste streams.

Un procédé de production d'enzymes cellulolytiques et/ou hémicellulolytiques utilise le résidu de la fermentation éthanolique d'hydrolysats enzymatiques de matériaux cellulosiques ou ligno-cellulosiques. Ce procédé peut être intégré dans un procédé de production d'éthanol à partir de matériaux cellulosiques ou ligno-cellulosiques qui comprend les étapes suivantes :
1) le prétraitement chimique et/ou physique d'un substrat cellulosique ou ligno-cellulosique; 2) l'hydrolyse enzymatique du substrat prétraité utilisant des enzymes cellulolytiques et/ou hémicellulolytiques ; 3) la fermentation éthanolique par un microorganisme alcooligène approprié de l'hydrolysat issu de l'étape (2) et obtention d'un moût de fermentation ; et 4) la séparation du micro-organisme alcooligène utilisé dans l'étape (3), la séparation/purification de l'éthanol et l'obtention d'une phase aqueuse constituant un résidu ;

The present invention relates to a method for genetically modifying a filamentous fungus host for improved protein production. The method comprises that a filamentous fungus host is genetically modified to overexpress or to be deficient of specific genes. The invention relates also to the modified hosts. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for improved production or for producing an improved composition of proteins, such as cellulases, hemicellulases, other proteins involved in the degradation of lignocellulosic material, or other proteins, in a filamentous fungus host.
